Hi!

I'm new in the comunity and I would appreciate your help to find out why this photograps were rejected. Is it because high-key? (cut out whites) or too shallow depth of field? I am confused... 😞

I don't think High-key necessarily leads to rejections. The main issue in each of the images seems to be depth of field that is too shallow, with the result that too little is actually in focus.

Very narrow DOF, overexposed, noise and missing contrast especially for the white container.

At least one picture exposes chromatic aberration:

Hello,

For me, I think the two main issues are that the depth of field (DOF) is too narrow, and the white balance - there is a slight yellow cast to the pictures.

You will need to reshoot them, and this time increase your DOF.

When you post-process them, take care of the white balance and contrast.

My suggestion:
1. Too narrow a zone of sharpness
2. Green buds are underexposed

What was the rejection reason?

You didn't post the full resolution pictures, so I cannot analyse the sharpening. The pictures are indeed overexposed, the first one has white balance problems. In addition, I have doubts about sharpness and noise, but I can't say much on those things as we do not have access to high-resolution pictures.

Thank you for all answers.

Reason was "quality issues".

I attach full resolution images.

As for me, the photos are noisy and unsharp. This is despite the fact that the focus area is very small. Also, the green things themselves in the bowl are underexposed, this can be seen if you select them and look at the schistogram, the pixels of which are all in the left half, and there are few lights.

Did you do the blurs with software, or did you photograph them that way? The blurring looks a little unnatural to me.

It is natural blur. I blame lenses for this unnatural effect.

The blur looks natural, but the sharpness range is tiny.

Sorry @Rup Kothar27478597jn1q,

But this isn't a contest for showing selfies. Please use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or similar for that.
