Hi
Has this happened to anyone else please? First time contributing a total of 5 photos, all completely different but two got rejected as "similar images". "during our review we found that it's similar to another image(s) you've already uploaded", I was wondering it does say "you" but could this just be a generic reason that there are similar images from other contributors? Many thanks!
The wording is a bit confusing, but the Similar Images rejection reason includes both your own portfolio and the entire Adobe Database. I've seen it mentioned in the somewhere Contributor Guide, but I can't quite remember where off hand.
Cheers!

Since you indicated that there were no similarities among the images you submitted, it's quite possible that your rejected images already have a lot of competition in the database. Look for more unique subjects, or unique ways of photographing them.

Check Stock Inventory in your keyword category.
Do they have 145 million of those already? Then don't submit. You won't make any sales.
To succeed at stock, focus on high quality images that nobody has thought of before. Stay away from low percentage sellers like flowers, plants, trees, clouds, sunsets/sunrises, pets and abstract backgrounds. Stock has more than enough of those already.

Similar image may also mean, similar to other images in the database, especially for assets with a fairly saturated presence, like flower pictures.
This happens, all you should do is to move on.

That does make sense, it was just the wording. Funnily enough the one that was accepted was a closeup of a flower lol

Then, it had the required "wow"-factor.
