Sudden Drop in Downloads – Is Adobe Stock Facing a Slowdown?

Hi everyone,

I've noticed a significant drop in my Adobe Stock downloads recently, even though I’ve been consistently uploading new content with optimized metadata. My sales used to be stable, but now they have decreased noticeably.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Could this be due to algorithm changes, market saturation, or a general decline in Adobe Stock’s performance? Any insights or tips on improving visibility and downloads would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I don't think Stock sales are any slower.

But your placement on Search Results may have dropped.

Are you creating content that's in high demand— lifestyle, travel, nature, tech, and business-related photos & videos?

Competition is increasing, and there are for sure metrics that are used by Adobe to present assets to the buyer that may favour newer content.

You won't know if Adobe stock performance (not the stock related to shares!) is declining, but you could guess that from the overall numbers from Adobe, when they publish their quarterly results.

One word: competition! Adobe continues to add ~1 MILLION assets to the database every day. It becomes increasingly difficult to create unique content, and it becomes more difficult for your assets to rise to the top of the Buyer search results.
