vectors still rejected. Flummoxed, frustrated, bewildered, lost, confused

Hello:

I am revisiting this topic.

I have submitted many vector images and have many approved. In the last months, however, I've had repeated problems. I change formats (SVG, EPS, ai), pixel size of images (doesn't affect vector but influences preview) and whatever else I can think of.

Often after I try a new variation it will sail past security to fly free. Then I submit more in the same settings and they are sent to detention.

I have written to the forum before and received some responses that don't address key issues.

Here are the points mentioned in generic rejection:

  • Your vector file contains a raster/bitmap image, and vector files must not contain raster elements.

Nope

  • Your JPEG preview file has been compressed too much, so textural problems have occurred in the file.

No compression used

  • Your JPEG preview resolution must not be less than 5,000 X 3,000 (15 million pixels)

I don't make the preview, Illustrator or Affinity Designer makes them. I don't see a preview file to check. I don't see any tools to control the creation of the preview, I have increased the pixels to 4,000 in the smaller dimension and still rejected.

  • You didn't use anti-aliasing when exporting your vector file to JPEG, so there are problems with lines on the JPEG file.

Exporting vector to JPEG? Why am I exporting to JPEG? I'm submitting a vector which creates it's own preview. Should I submit a vector and a separate JPEG? That would just appear as two different images, right?

If it isn't about the preview I still don't know what it's about

It's what is not mentioned in the text: the quality of your asset.

Welp, I guess that's the last word.

Thanks for your frank assessment.

Maybe you have missed this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock-contributors-discussions/vectors-still-rejected-flummoxed-frust...

I had a look at your vector file, and as I did not find flagrant errors, I concluded, that a potential buyer would need to do a lot of work to get the asset workable. This and weird hand are two separate valid reasons to reject the file (Quality Issues). But the asset moderator had probably only a look at the hand and decided that that was a big enough issue (the obvious first).

"Adobe asks:

Did it solve your problem?"

No, I never got an answer to my very specific questions. Many responses talked about tangentially associated issues. I still am unable to submit most vector images after trying many different options.

All vector paths are closed.

Thank you for responding.

Again, I am asking what GENERAL parameters are required when saving to vector format. Specifically,

1. Pixel dimension range,

2. DPI

3. SVG or EPS (for export) or (high quality)

We may disagree on that. You just discard counsel.

Hello ABAMBO:

Thanks for responding, I appreciate your input and I have taken steps to improve where you have noted. Recently you mentioned my lack of grouping layers could be an issue. I took time on one image to fix that and was still rejected.

I also took to heart your suggestion that my images just weren't of acceptable quality. I can accept that judgement, and I appreciate your frank assessment.

Here is a distillation of my original question.

1. Pixel dimension range in original file, for example: hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands?

2. DPI

3. SVG or EPS (for export) or (high quality)

1) I found that the pixel dimensions of the art board are irrelevant.

2) DPI for vector is irrelevant. It is important for embedded pixel graphics when you go to print. Embedded pixel graphics is, however, not a choice here.

3) Adobe Illustrator with PDF preview. SVG. As a last option, EPS. (I do not know what you mean with high quality, vector is always high quality.
