In the attached example, I used gradient picker (super handy) to sample multiple colors from a photograph.
The bright regions of the input (of Gradient Map node) got the grays and dark regions got the browns. I wanted the other way around.
Since there are many pins in the gradient it's time taking to move each one. There should be a way to rotate the gradient.
By rotation I mean:
Moving all the gradient pins left or right such that the pins overflowing from right side goes to the left side.
Also, I'm aware that user can move multiple pins at once (that's neat 👌) and can resample from image in reverse direction to roughly get the effect required above.
Hi Ayush !
Dave already answered with the invert position option which is good but doesn't work if you just want to shift a bit your keys to the left or right.
I reported your feedback to the team and this is something we can add to the gradient node ! (but no ETA for now)
Something that could also work is to use an histogram shift node on your grayscale input to shift values on the input instead of modifying your gradient's key 😉

how can I miss that 🤦:male_sign:
Thanks! That will do for now 👌

Hehe ! Don't worry, we all have our own way to create materials and often forgot some node's existance.
And your suggestion for the gradient is still relevant !
Using an histogram switch is a solution but you add a node. Being able to make the change directly in the gradient avoids an extra node (and spend too much time creating your gradient, especially if you use the pick gradient option)
