Hello, I want to know if there's a way to set up a parameter that disables the height channel.
I tried using a black color via the switch node, but it led to a negative material height. also, I experimented with a 50% grayscale color, which makes a minimal height effect on the material.

Hello @Dazzle5FF7

The 50% grayscale color seemed like a good option for me.

The height behaves as follow: Everything that is upper to 50% grayscale will "extrude" the mesh, and everything that is lower to 50% grayscale will "dig" into the mesh. This is easily visible with a simple cube

The perfect 50% grayscale (0.5 or 128) is considered as neutral, therefore shouldn't have an impact on the mesh.

Could you send a picture of the graph and the result with a 50% grayscale, so we can have a better view on what's happening?

Let me know,

From the screenshot of the graph, I don't see a height output at all, therefore this is probably not the issue. I guess the effect comes from the normal map, so if you know you won't use it all, you can simply delete the output.

With that being said, you could also easily disable the Normal (or height) channel through Substance Painter.
