What is happening for people currently subscribed to Substance 3D via the old subscription methods? Can we keep those? I personally like the Substance Launcher a lot more than the creative cloud one, which crashes a lot and takes up way more RAM that is necessary by default. Will the software in the Substance Launcher be updated the same as the ones in the CC launcher?
Hi, you will still be able to get non-Adobe updates for the time being through Substance3d.com, but you won't be able to use the new interop features unless you transition to the Adobe sub, since the interop is driven by an Adobe API.
The Substance Launcher is not compatible with the new releases and will be phased out as features are rolled out in CC Desktop.

How do we transfer our substance subscription to adobe? I subscribed for a year so I have that until december. Also I have about 400 substance source credits that seem useless now, because it no longer exists as far as I can tell. Did all my bought materials go away, can I redownload any that I was using? Am I totally screwed? What's the deal?

Hello,
It is possible to migrate your subscription to the new Adobe Substance 3D plans for any Substance Indie annual subscription in the case of any Adobe Substance 3D plan, as well as for Substance Pro annual subscriptions in the case of the purchase of an Adobe Substance 3D Collection for Teams plan.
Follow these steps to migrate your subscription:
You will continue to have access to your Substance Source points until June 2022. Eligible individuals will be notified when they will be able to transfer their licensed assets and unused download points to their Adobe account.
If you migrate your subscription as explained above, I suggest reaching out beforehand to contact@substance3D.com for the specifics to carrying over your points and assets to your Adobe account with the new subscription.

Hi, How do I go about migrating my account, which is month to month? I have over 700 points and over 200 assets. Thank you!

I have the same issue. I am paid through the month and I can not access Substance even now. This is causing production problems.

I have the same issue. I've contacted Adobe support but they told me to have patience and would call me if there is a solution to this problem. It is painful to see that company takeovers are never taking existing users into account.

Is this truly the solution? I for one are having second thoughts on this option. There was no communaction on this transition whatsoever. Also I believe it is not really good to set an experation on points that users actually own, but I am glad to see that it is almost a year. I really hope that Adobe gives us a better way of service then this.

Don't worry, you won't lose anything 🙂
If you proceed to the migration, you will continue to have access to your points until June 2022.
So if you login to your Adobe account with new credentials, you will see your new points from the new subsbription.
If you login to your Substance account, you will have access to all your history.
And in the coming months you will be notified when you will be able to transfer your licensed assets and unused download points to your Adobe account.
It's also explained in our FAQ: https://www.substance3d.com/ (in the Assets section)

I have a permanent license for legacy SubstanceLife products. Thanks to them, I could pay for a subscription for only half the monthly price (9.95 to be exact) for 6 months. I managed to take advantage of the discount for the plan only for Substance Designer. Now I can not subscribe using the Substance Painter discount?

Hi, But what if I already have an adobe account with other services? I do not want to create another account. Can I import substances stuff to my existing account?

I switched to Adobe Substance, but now I can't easily use it since my creative cloud is under a company account and my adobe substance is under my personal account. Can you make the Adobe substance available as standalone downloads so that i don't have to sign out of my company creative cloud (which has photoshop and illustrator) ?

I have exactly the same issue.

Amazing how clients get to suffer again because of company policy. I guess profit is more important then service once again.

Sadly it's not just company policies, but law. We would have liked to make a one click export, but we have to respect some legal constraints.

do i actually need to have an active subscriptiojn in order to transfer my credits from the substance launcher? I don't need an actual subscription i only need access to my launcher credits to download the textures I need when I need them. I shouldn't have to pay you guys to transfer my credits. I hope there are some alternate steps.

i come to find out it's "F you, pay us" mind set by adobe in order to transfer our unused credits. gotta love the greed. Let's say I finally transfer my credits, do I need an active sub in order to access my unused credits? or are we being bent over once again even on that? Just not happy with the overrall treatment by adobe, but can i say am I surprised.
