Modeler is an excellent software. During the Medium era, I made many suggestions based on blueprints, and in fact, most of them were accepted and improved, which makes me proud. This includes the current features like holding 'b' to freely change the brush shape and more flexible angle rotations. Although I have changed my account, I am ready to propose two new suggestions:Curvature: 1Currently, the deformation and painting tools mostly operate in straight lines, which makes the transition between organic and man-made objects too abrupt. In fact, it is difficult to work on some curved man-made objects, such as corner pipes. So, I suggest adding a curvature feature. Roughly speaking, when pushing a brush in a straight line to a certain point, do not release the button and press a specific key; this will prompt a UI hint to bend. If you then drag the brush in a different direction while still holding, the transition will become curved instead of abrupt.
2Adding a skeleton system: This is something I am eagerly anticipating. Simply binding skeletons in VR, with the current integration of AI and software, would be a great comic workflow for professionals, so I look forward to the inclusion of a skeletal system. Additionally, emphasis should be placed on cooperation with AI modeling, such as Rodin Gen 1, which reportedly can generate new meshes based on the current model. This is clearly a better direction because it relies on traditional modeling, and Modeler is currently the most convenient tool for traditional techniques. In conclusion, here is a recent work I created using Modeler.
