Optimal Build with Lag and Freeze in Viewport when Rotating.

Community Beginner ,

I have test the GPU, worked with AMD Support AND support with the manufacturer and a PC technical agent.

All found the fault to be with Adobe Substance Painter.

I have been able to bake 4k textures for my projects but I can't even paint or do anything because the program with lag and become non-responsive when I interacte with the viewport.

I have been trying to get help from Adobe Technical Support since three weeks ago and recently tried to get help here.

I'm posting in hopes of getting help.

All other support team options have failed and I when I tried to go into a call and have assisstance, the person didn't seem to know what to do.

Please help.

I don't want to pay for a subscription to something I can't even use.

If there were other options I would have never bothered with this buggy program and lack of support.

I have evidence to support that the GPU is fine and I can provide dxdiag and sysinfo if needed.

For reference I have an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX on Adrenalin 25.9.1, Windows is updated, Adobe Substance is the latest update.

Hello @celestial_interest4076,

Your GPU isn't the problem indeed. However, for performance issues, this is complicated to me to troubleshoot without the project itself. Would you be ok to send me your project at cdellenbach@adobe.com so I can take a closer look?

Keep me posted

Hello,

Sorry if I seem frazzled; I've been at my wit's end with this.
I have attached a video to show the problem is with all projects meaning that even the most bare sample given by the program itself is showing issues.
There is also a screenshot of the system performance during a period of the program lag 'not responding' to show that it isn't a performance issue.

I hope this helps show what I mean about not being able to do anything.

Hmmm, I didn't realize that your Painter was also lagging with sample projects. First thing, I'd try the basics and update my GPU. Quite often, the fix is as simple as that.

In addition, I'd like to take a closer look at what's happening in your Painter. Could you send me your log (Help > Export log...) so I can investigate on my end (still cdellenbach@adobe.com).

Let me know.

Hello Cyril,

I have the most up-to-date driver for my GPU, I checked.
I also uninstalled all Adobe products and reinstalled Creative Cloud and Painter before taking the logs today.
The log is sent to your email, I also emailed you before with the project file and video.
Hope this helps.
I can see it is looking specifically for an NVIDIA product and failing... Not sure if this is the issue?

Hope to hear from you soon. Here or email, whichever is best.
Thank you for your time.
