Hello!
Is there a way to import geometry in world scale and position rather than have it always be adjusted to a 1-size-fits-all bounding box?
When doing adjustments to the mesh that affects the overall bounding box size of the asset preserved strokes and so on will get messed up.
Thank you!

I noticed now that this is very similar to a question that was posted just recently.
https://community.adobe.com/t5/substance-3d-painter-discussions/3d-stroke-reprojection-after-scaling...
I guess that means that no such option exists currently. Is the lack of world scale/position an inherent limitation of Painter somehow, or is this a planned feature?
Thanks again!

Hello Erik,
Unfortunately, you're right such an option doesn't exist currently. This is why we usually don't advise to based a Painter workflow on iterations. The bounding box has advantages, but not so much when it comes to reimporting a mesh.
We frequently discuss about a different system for the reprojection, but I have no plans to share for now.
Best regards,

Thank you for the response!
I see clear benefits with both approaches. So I think ideally an import setting to determine what type of scaling should apply would be ideal.
In the meantime I think we will go with adding "little boxes" far out into space to massively increase the size of the bouding box to allow for bigger changes within that "box". This is of course not ideal since it will also affect the position texture bake, for instance.

Smart move. I'll keep that in mind.
