How to avoid animated sbsar parameter to cause indefinite render loop in Maya?

Whenver I animate a sbsar parameter in Maya.. the project becomes unresponsive b/z this ↓ keeps happening in loop.

I asked the same question in Maya forums about the terrible implementation of substance sbsar but not expecting an answer there (rarely useful).

What setting should I choose to avoid such scenerio?

I'm aware of the Blocking Render setting that allows the material to update before the frame gets rendered (correct me if it's not that).

Hi @Ayush Bakshi , enabling the Blocking Renders option should allow the process to finish before rendering. Does this still freeze up the program when enabled? And which version of the plugin and Maya are you using?

You also mentioned on the Maya forums post that Maya takes 50% of CPU and 4 GB of memory. Does this happen even when the engine is set to GPU? Some of that may be coming from Maya's batch rendering end, but if there is more than when batch rendering without the plugin, it may be a bug we need to look at.

By the way, you mentioned the Blender plugin as well. The installation issues of our Blender plugin should be resolved in our 2.0 prerelease build if you're interested in using that as an alternative.

Best,
Aldo
