I bought this FBX. to be used for a client, which appears to be soft and round, and when placed into Stager the object becomes angular. Looking for some tips to make it soft again, let me know! Images attached of goal verse rendering.
Usually this means that the model was created using a technique called subdivision surfaces. Subdivision lets the artist model the asset with low resolution geometry and then 'subdivide' it to make it smooth.
Stager does not support subdivision surfaces natively. Whatever tool the model is created in and using subdivision surface must 'bake' that information down into geometry at export. Unfortunately this is not a bug or something we can fix. You can attempt to open the model in a tool th

I don't know the provenance of this model, but from the 16-sided circle shape it looks like it's just a low-poly object to begin with, no matter what the preview image shows. The best thing I could suggest would be to open the original model in 3D modeling app like Sketchup, to see what it looks like there, because until you can verify that it is not low-poly you don't have a starting point for Stager debugging.
Try Object > Generate UVs, then export the UVs and take a look. That may give you a clue, and may even help.
If the model is good, but you still have the low-poly scene in Stager, then submit it to substance3d-bugs@adobe.com with your Stager logs, .ssg, and the original .fbx so the team can dig into it.

If you see seperate layers after importing into Stager try to find the cap and replace it with other one from that can be created from Stager Basic Shapes. That can be also a solution.

Hello, when you buy a 3d model you need to double check the resolution and the settings. There may be a big difference between the visual and the model purchased as here.
