Feature Request - Volumetric Lighting (fog and light rays)

I'd like to see the abilty to render lights rays and haze/fog. (attached is a quick and crude example from Toolbag 4).

The depth pass allows for some degree of adding fog in Photoshop.  But that is not so easy to get a good look.

BOGOs for the lights could be handy as well.
