Assets showing up read-only when no one is using them

Community Beginner ,

After a crash yesterday, most our assets are showing up as read-only for one of the two editors (it changes between the editors). Everything works fine is only one person has the project open, but both having it open makes assets apear as read only even though it says "up to date" in the changes column.

We have tried clearing the cache, updating to a newer version. We turned the team project into a local and then back to team and nothing has worked.

With "Assets showing up as read-only", I assume you're referring to sequences, correct?
Are collaborators prompted to relink media upon opening the project? If so, how are you relinking the media?

It's mainly multicamera source sequences (this is how we snyc audio and video), not just the regular sequences. We can't even adjust the gain on the clips in our regular sequences. If we match frame it shows the Multi-cam source sequence as read only and when you look in the bins it says "up to date". It is doing this for hundreds of clips.

It works fine for a while, but when one of us updates it gets funky.

There are no relinking issues. all of the media is on a shared server.

We tried creating a new project and moving the files over and still have the same problem. It looks like it's the audio files that are the biggest issue (since we use multicam source sequences if the audio is read only then so are those sequences it seems).

Making the files off-line a relinking also does not help.

Hi @thehcseat15_6466,
Generally, if one collaborator starts editing a sequence, this sequence should get locked so other collaborators cannot edit the same sequence. Assets that are used within this sequence are also 'read-only'.
Are you able to recover your work via the 'Auto Save History'?
