This thread is for Camera Raw & Lightroom Classic feedback on the (Early Access) Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI)
For the Lightroom Ecosystem feedback, click here

The Lightroom team is dedicated to building capabilities that foster trust and transparency in the age of AI. Our latest release, as part of the Content Authenticity Initiative (https://contentauthenticity.org/), allows you to add content credentials to your work when exporting in Lightroom to ensure provenance and preserve authenticity.

New content credential capabilities are available across the Lightroom ecosystem (Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for mobile (iOS & Android), Lightroom for web), and Adobe Camera Raw in Early Access. When exporting a JPEG from Lightroom, you can attach your name, social media handle, and a list of edits via a digital signature.

You can find the option to apply Content Credentials while exporting a JPEG in the export panel. It is, by default, turned OFF. You can choose to enable this option at the time of each export or enable it in App preferences for every export. Learn more.

If you choose to attach credentials, the information you submit will be tied to your image and can be verified by uploading the photo to contentcredentials.org/verify. Try out the early access version of Content Credentials and share your feedback with us.

Please include the following details in your post:

  • App version/platform
  • System details
  • Example image(s) if you wish to share

Thanks!

LR Classic cannot add Content Credentials to Pixel 10 images (or any camera that adds CC at capture)

I have imported over 50 image from Pixel 10 and C2PA supported devices like Sony A7V devices direct from device and also ones that were edited using Google Photos. The manifest for C2PA is totally intact upon importing into LR Classic. When I attempt to export with CC’s with “Edits and activity” for one of these images, the export fails with “Couldn’t apply content credentials”

The intent of CC’s, especially with supported devices, is to maintain the provenance from the point of capture, which your implementation does not seem to be doing at all. You cannot break the chain of trust.

I’ve attached a sample image and the associated manifest with that file.

This feature on the surface seems great but anytime the server is having any type of issue it just fails to save the entire batch and I have to shut it off… Would be great if you would get the bugs out of this as it would be valuable.

It would be nice to be able to select/deselect the connected accounts you would like to include in your content credential in Lightroom Classic.  Currently, it's either all the connected accounts or none of them.

This feature has been very buggy fro me from the onset.  It's stopped or slowed down workfloww. Too many times. I see the advantages to using the credentials but it's way to glitchy for the user. Sometimes it works.... sometimes it does not.  That's not acceptable for our workflow in our ad agency or for each editor off site.

My work wnats me to put our organization name by my name on the Content Credential - the problem is that there is no option to go in and edit it. Is there a work-around?

Hi,

it is a very appreciated initiative ! Thanks !

Unfortunately, I have issues with it 😕😕
At first, it worked well. But recently i had a error message after the export and the export failed. (captures attached)
Is there any limitation about how many exports we can do with content credentials ?

Does not allow me to authenticate my identity.

I have two linked in profiles, one for my photography and one for another buisness.

I have already authentiated my identity on the business profile.

I cannot authenticate my identity on a second profile in Linkedin, as it will not allow two profiles to be authenticated with the same identity. This means I can't set up Content Authenticity, which is very unhelpful./

Lightromm classic 14.5, Mac OS 15.3.1

I miss the option to prohibit the use of my asset for AI/ML training, while exporting from LR or PS in the content credential settings.
Will it come or will it only possible during the application process on https://contentauthenticity.adobe.com?
Thanks for your initiative!

I'm using Camera Raw 17.4.2.2283 on MacOS Sequoia 15.5. I connected my Behance and Linked In accounts using (Manage) in the Save Options dialog, but the Connected Accounts check box under Content Credentials remains grayed out.

Hi, CC worked in the previous versions of Lightroom, but since version 14.4 (202506051112-5918896a) it's no longer working : I can't export with CC anymore, if I check CC box while exporting, I get an error message "Some exports were not completed: unable to apply CCs" and all my files are not exported.

I loved CC features ! But for now, I have to uncheck it while exporting, otherwise it no longer works, whereas it worked before. Sad.
