No, you cannot hire from the Adobe Community Forums. Try Behance: https://www.behance.net/joblist

There is a forum rule against 'Accepting or offering compensation in exchange for engagement '

As Jane states, Behance is an ideal site for potential hiring.

If someone reaches out to you after reading one of your replies or if you helped them previously and wants to hire you privately, that's one thing.

Creating posts offering or recruiting for jobs isn't allowed in this Community as of today.

how do people find your behance site when they can't be helped via the forums and want someone to download and correct the problems, or just create the app for them?

This is not the place to promote our own sites or services or advertise for hire.

As the company who owns these forums, Adobe decided that we should not be 'Accepting or offering compensation in exchange for engagement' .

In addition the guidelines are clear in stating  'Do not share your own or others’ personal information (like full name, home address, phone number, email address, government-issued IDs, or anything else that would let someone locate or contact you in the real world).

Both of those would preclude using these forums to advertise services or hire someone to provide services. On the other hand, Behance has an area specifically set up for that with a job listing. If someone wants to hire an editor, or developer, Behance allows them to do just that.

If we disagree with those guidelines (which are based around the fuller terms and conditions) then we are of course free to request a change to them from Adobe.

i don't offer anything in the forums, but people find me in the forums and then send a private message and from there to my personal email.  so, i'm not sure that's a violation.

I got a freelance job due to someone seeing me in here, but it was out of the blue and I didn't ask for it/promote for it and had never interacted with him. I think that's okay (I hope). It just happened once.
