I wrote a 30 page guide: 'Display Technology, Pixels, and Printed Ink', where do I go from here?

Hey guys! I wrote a 30 page pocket book titled 'Display Technology, Pixels, and Printed Ink: The Beginner's Guide'. I'm looking for some sort of organization that will fact check it and add a badge to it that says it's been peer reviewed. Unfortunately, I can't find anyone that would do this sort of thing! What should I do?

Attached is the guide.

  • A 30 page beginner's Guide for whom  -- who is your target audience?
  • Is this a school assignment?
  • Are you submitting this for publication in a trade journal?
  • Or is it a vanity press project -- Kindle Direct Publishing?

  • I don't have a specific target audience. If you want to help me refine the title for a 2023 version I would love to hear some ideas!
  • This is not a school assignment, it's something I created on my own time because I enjoy learning about these topics as a hobby.
  • I have not thought about doing something like that but I like the idea! Would you be able to point me in a particular direction to do that?
  • I don't know what you mean by vanity press project.

Pearson Education, Peachpit Press publishes technical training books.

Vanity Press is self-published content.  Amazon KDP is one example.

The colour calibration part forgets to mention that only with a hardware colour calibration device is it possible to colour calibrate a screen properly. The "by eye" method that you describe is (sorry) useless in production and should not be used. If a hardware colour calibrator isn't available, it is actually preferable to rely on the factory's standard colour settings (even though those are also probably wrong - but not nearly as wrong as calibrating by eye!).

That is good feedback. I will research that and update the guide for 2023. Thank you!
