It seems that Boeing did now follow their own rules when ‘someone’ worked on the door that fell off a plane in flight… or, if a whistleblower is to be believed, the paperwork may have been destroyed or deliberately lost to hide the identities of everyone involved… either way, I hope that the investigation results in not just a fine but firings and jail time (Boeing has already had to pay millions of dollars to Alaska Airlines due to missed flights)
.
At this point I have NO future flight plans so this does not matter to me, but Boeing safety is an important subject for thousands/millions of other people

Never believe big companies when they claim to be working according to the rules. They are doing so only when being forced by law.

A NASA contractor says Boeing's Starliner spacecraft has a 'risk of a disaster' and should be grounded. Monday’s launch was called off because of an oscillating valve problem.
Makers of the valve see this as a possible sign of a larger problem. https://msn.com/en-us/news/tec

I wasn't watching, but I remember the rocket that blew up due to an 'O-Ring' that didn't work properly because of the cold weather on launch day

Lots of obvious corner cutting. Guess this company may be on its way out in the near future?

I didn't save the link, but an article I read said that Boeing started declining when it merged with another plane builder and the 'bean counters' replaced the engineers who had been running Boeing ever since it started, and 'more/quick' profits became more important than 100% quality... the company needs to go back to the idea of quality first

So many manufacturing problems, so many delays... It might be time for NASA to bail on Boeing's Starliner and look toward other options like SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft to fill the void.
