The new forum needs a little bit of humor to release the tension of the changeover, so I've started part 2 of the old thread so that we don't have to keep scrollong to the end of the old thread.

If it gets too long before the "go to the latest reply" issue is resolved, I can lock this thread and link to a part 3 thread.

Bob, another thanks for getting this thread going again.  I struggle to find the enthusiasm to visit the forums since the site update, and the old SWCRT thread was always a favourite.  The bizarre threading is a good case in point, underlined by you needing to remind folk to go back four pages to find the Reply button that works properly.  Tricia, if you read this could we have an option to reply to post or thread to avoid the hassle please?

If you click the reply button on the first post of each page (a copy of the original post), it won't be nested.

Yes, I know, it's a unhandy work around, but hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.

Gene, I went looking for this thread after being dismayed at how many whining complaint threads seem to filling The Lounge now.  Thank goodness this thread is still alive and giving us something to smile at.   I so identify with the Law of Gravity ultimate reality.   I spend a lot of time using a milling machine which has a big box of junk just slightly behind, and immediately to the left of it.  Every single time I knock something off the table it ends up in that box of junk and is impossible to find.  Unfortunately I don't have control of said box of junk, so if I cleared it out other people would fill it up again.   I _hate_ sharing a workshop.
