Hey, just wondering if I can use the Adobe Fonts library to design a title logo for my video game. I'm not going to use it for any other purpose. The game will be sold on Steam and the logo will be in the .png format.
I'm asking this because the Licensing FAQ says that I cannot embed fonts in a desktop application, and I have no idea what that actually means.
Thanks!

Can you clarify a bit what you mean by that?
If your question doesn't concern fonts, but the software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) then, let me know an I'll move your conversation to the right section.
You're commenting on a typography forum, but that's not an issue, I can easily move your question elsewhere if neededd.

Yes, you can use Adobe Fonts to design a title logo for your video game, as long as the font is used only for the logo and not embedded within the game itself. Embedding fonts in a desktop application refers to incorporating the font files directly into the software so that they can be used dynamically by the application. Since you'll be creating a .png image of the logo, you won't be embedding the font in the game, but rather using it in a static image format. As long as you adhere to these guidelines and only use the font for the specified purpose, you should be in compliance with Adobe Fonts' licensing terms.

Certainly! Here's a concise solution along with some suggestions:
You can utilize the Adobe Fonts library to create a title logo for your video game, provided you solely use it for this purpose. Since you're planning to sell the game on Steam and the logo will be in .png format, you should be fine. Regarding the Licensing FAQ's mention of not embedding fonts in a desktop application, it likely refers to bundling fonts directly within the application's files, which isn't necessary for creating a logo. Therefore, you can proceed with confidence in using Adobe Fonts for your **link removed by moderator** (unrelated to the discussion) logo without worrying about violating licensing terms.
