Hi Adobe Staff,

I am working for TriMet, a public transportation company in Portland, Oregon. I am designing the electronic instructional screens for the fare ticket machines and the package for the fare card, using Myriad Pro fonts in my CC software. Do I have to buy the license for using Myriad Pro for those? Please let me know. Thank you.

Adobe's standard font license agreement allows work created with a font to be distributed and used for both personal and commercial purposes. You will only need to ensure that you are using the fonts to create rendered work (e.g. bitmaps and video), converting font data to outlines in vector output (e.g. EPS) or embedding the fonts in an electronic document (e.g. PDF). You cannot distribute the font files themselves as an asset for an application or service.

I hope that helps.

Hi Adobe Staff,

May I ask if after purchasing the original PS software, I will use the font design file of Myriad Pro to insert the text of         Myriad Pro fonts and print them out, and use Myriad Pro fonts on the packaging or leaflet. It's for commercial use.

Is such behavior legal? Is it allowed for commercial use?

Do you have Myriad Pro font separate font copyright authorization

Look forward to your reply!!

For static use of Myriad Pro as you describe, you need no additional license. You are “good to go!”
