Uninstall fonts in Photoshop CC on a Mac

I have at least 80 fonts that are not functional. They all are listed with six rectangles [] [] [] [] [] [] beside their font name. How can they be deleted? My Photoshop is on a Mac.

I have opened Font Book within Launchpad and searched for the dysfunctional fonts but they do not appear there. Yet they do appear in the Photoshop font drop-down.  I searched for the names of the dysfunctional fonts in fonts.adobe.com and they do not exist there.

I have not been able to delete them within Photoshop or Font Book. There are so many dysfunctional fonts that it really complicates efforts to select a font while using Photoshop.  Is there a way to remove or delete unwanted fonts?

I found this terrific solution in the "Remove All NOTO Sans" thread:

How to delete NOTO fonts from mac 95% for free

  1. Open App Store on your Mac.
  2. Download RightFont (Don’t download Typeface: It will cost you $36 dollars!)
  3. Find the Noto fonts. (Just type noto on the search bar on the top left)
  4. Once the fonts appear on the right panel, uncheck the green checkmarks that are above each font to deactivate them!

One trick is to favorite all fonts except the ones you don't want. Then click the "Favorite Star" and the unwanted fonts are filtered from the list.

Has anyone tried right click on the doomed font in Font Book > Reveal in Finder > Trash the garbage to the bin ?
