Forgot to mention... of course, you can open any SVG image, even exported right from Illustrator, so you can design comfortabilly with AI, and let this simple app do the rest.

Well... as usual, five years later hasn't been solved in the app... but thankfully, we have a good alternative. Already named in earlier answers, Keyshapeapp doit it all, easy, intuitive UI, export stright to SVG + CSS style animation, onli 27€ (suppose similar in $) IMPORTANT: ONLY FOR MAC... sadly, I haven't found any alternative for PC. Although welcome if anyone can share another https://www.keyshapeapp.com/ I've been for months trying to animate a basic loop animation without luck, just because I'm not a programmer... tried with pure HTML/SVG/CSS coding... almost succeeded, but always stuck in small details uncapable to solve, because I'm artist and can't visualize num,bers and code. With this simple app, I've done it in 3 minutes... that's all... exported right in a simple SVG, CSS styles clear and understandable, ready to customize if you want to fine tune right in code. https://www.keyshapeapp.com/

hey! definitivelly you picked the wrong software (even maybe the wrong company). Animate is basically the same Flash that has been out there since mid 90's... only redesigned UI and some improvements. You picked because Adove has lots of resorces and artists to create beautiful marketing imagery, to make you think you need their tools. I've installed and uninstalled intermitently Animate thrugh the years, thinking at last would find a way to include it in my design work pipeline... but not, I've to turn back again to manually SVG/CSS styling and animation: Not intuitive, complicated, but you get what you want stright from a HTML simple code.

Also here... wasting hours and customer explanations about "Adobe usual issues"... fonts, always fonts. Missing each day... even my own Legal fonts uploaded through cloud. Always misin random ones... have nearly 50 installed, I cant manually beeingh each day installing-uninstalling. Thats suposed to be a "creative cloud" not a "survival cloud with hacks and codng"...

Well... think I wrote about it some time ago, but haven't found it. So here goes again... its a time wasting and annoying issue, that prevents to update libraries between XD files, becoming tedious and frustrating to work and keepping updated any design system. As you can see in the picture, it is what I see regularly after constantly jumping from original component libraries back and forth. Usualy, I've to wait for a while or repeat adjustments to update it into the linked files. Now this looping prcess is getting more and more often. I log in-log out almost each day fro Adobe CC to avoid the daily issues... but it should to be solved. It's another wasting of time.

Well... just tested a couple of times with same behavior (but different file, couldn't find the previous one), but seems it now don't crashes. Just I updated XD to 41.0.12.11 and CC Sync 4.14.0.17 If it occurs again i the future, I'll inform you.

mhhh... ok, so I have to rewrite again this asking for support in other place? or did you moved it there? Then, which utility has this "support"? By the way... at least don't marked as "answered", because isn't it. That's why I loose so many hours googling for solutions on the many Adobe issues, only to find "Correct answers" that merey were "please write to another place and don't bore us with your problems" Thank you anyway... know youre giving your best

Here happening too! this week two times. When I change the text alignment from center to left (at least in my case), the two options get selectet at once, XD blocks, and I have to close XD from Task Manager. XD 40.1.22.3 CC Sync 4.11.0.12 Windows 10 version 21H1 I had previously installed Suitcase Fussion, but now I don't use it.

Well... so now a totally new issue. The new update process for linked files/libreries/whatever... doesn't work and is absolutelly non sense. I've been asked for libary updates that last forever in a click looping process. Seems there is something that doesn't work, but I have not any kind of feedback from XD... even worst, for the same "update" concept, now we have four different buttons spread in far places between them, and in some cases, hidden in tabs... Only tested with XD 40.1.22.3 Windows in a super-powerfull 2021 DELL

Simply, XD interface isn't anything as similar as an "user friendly" thing. When you have to deal with more than 2 states in a component, you have to constantly scroll up and down. Hidding the whole picture of the component interactions in an only one eyesight, makes impossible to build an useful mind visualization of the component to manage it's possibilities. I always have tro draw it in a piece of paper to remember its parts. The funny thing, is that with a draggable edge to make window bigger would suffice. In an usual big screen, the bottom rignt of the tabs remains empty of any kind of useful stuff.

Nothing... I give up. I'm investing almost the 80% of my daily work to deal with usability issues. Clicking after clicking, jumping back and forth between layers and library tabs, no button at the bottom, no feedback or visual cues... suppose that XD usability and user interface has been designed with XD itself.

Yet another of these ironical UX flaws on XD. Just I've updated a linked file published as library... then, the file says that something has changed outside. But how I can update these changes without any kind of button? I've been all the day dealing with XD issues... can't use more my brain any more to think alternative mental models as yours.

Well... a bit related also to undockable panels/palettes. Simply I use to make different files for common components to emulate the "atomic" way of work. But now I can't see all linked components at te same "libraries" view. I've to click back and forth to select alternative library from other linked XD files. It's a waste of time and focus on workflow. I want to keep the color library, the type library and whatever library I've build side by side, so I can pick quick anything I need.

Yessss... sure it has been asked before elsewhere. Also, I'm aware that trend is to keep everything docked and fixed (at it has been to have Windws XD menu sticked to the left for years). But if any design tool out there still give us the possibility to undock whatever panel/palette/tool we want, is for a good reason: efficiency and speed. For example some of my most annoying, cognitive exhaustion and time wasting XD procedures are related with it. Constantly jump from Libreries Panel to Layers back and forth. Complex layouts uses hundreds of intrincate components full of elements with their own states and inner components.Simply I want to see all them seide by side, even grouped by category, not random as it is now.

hey! I've had these issues almost always. XD needs a robust Glyph and Tabs option to create what we daily need. Aniway, the behaviour is erratic... sometimes works, other fails. As the linked fonts, even having them active in Adobe Type, always fails, needing to start, restart XD... and even log-out and log-out again. It happens always. Syncing fots maybe after a hour or two... For your information. I've used in the past Sutcase Fussion, that helped me to get rid of the default hundreds of unused fonts. It was buggy and offetn unusable, but I still use the old version, as I can atleast group fonts by interests

After years struggling with XD bad usability, today just realized one of my first bottlenecks managing assets/components in large scale projects: the lack of a hierarchized views of the components (as Sketch already have) Simply, after create a very complex Component, full of other components inside, I end seeing all these components rendered in a messing list of hundreds of small thumbnails. Absolutely impossible to find anything... except for waste hours reading their cryptic names automatically generated after a stressed working day. Simply… why not render the embedded components inside the container in the Assets panel? Please, don’t tell me to use the Layer Panel… there are thousands of items, and we still have to jump back and forth between panels, as there isn’t any way to make panels undockable and have it all visible side by side (another of those absurd timewasters)

Well... not asking for Glyphs panel for XD (after years asking for it, seems is not longer an important feature for UI design) Simply asking for proper rendering to work with them. In older versions, at least the Glyph was rendered as a square when copy-pasted from Illustrtator. Now I've to deal literally with the name of the glyph itself!... obviously, absolutelly insane. Below... trying to emulate a so mundane thing as an Unordered List. When selected the glyph list to delete some of them, they become a word! As light in quantum physics, the dual nature of the Glyph, an image or a description depending on the observer conscient interaction 🙂

No... Dark Mode isn't simply the "negative" UI of the original one. Dark mode is a balanced contrast between dark greys and a slightly greyed white. white over black would hurt eyes as it does the black over white backgrounds. Even other apps from adobe have the possibility to choose different darkness values as needed. Simply take a look at the rest of programs out there (even MS Office has started to use it in Outlook!!), and you'll see why jump from Photoshop or Illustrator to XD is a real visual pain, our retina has to constantly adapt to brightness and darkness, loosing focus and patience.

Simply, I've been suffering constant freezes (needing reboot PS) when trying to resize any image. It seems it happens with cvertain type of resample algorythm. Not tryed everyoone... but sometimes, changing it, it doesnt crashes. I'm currently working on a Dell with Windows 10 up to date. SSD disk and 16MB RAM

By the way... why keep two different forums/communities? Really it's not efficient to write here when there is already other places with the same questions. We make a big effort to write and share issues while working. Only one place to publish would be enough (even, this "Support Comunity doesn't work right... always have error messages about HTML content in my posts, and constantly asking me to login...
