Hello Dirk, That is true, I didn't know at the time of writing the plugin. One advantage it does offer. It allows the user to move the scripts menu item without having to know any scripting. Would it be improper of me to put a link to the web page that describes the plugin better? P.

Hello, This all came about because I am not really up to much scripting. Would a plugin that inserted menu items into InDesign and launched the script when the menu item was selected be of any use? The plugin would read a folder structure to determine where the menu item is to be inserted. The menu items name would be taken from the script name. I have a web page that better describes this plugin. P.

Hello I think I have got it now. So why did the two prefixes I got from Adobe confilct? 0x168600 and 0x16a000. Surly this does have potential for problems with other developers. Thanks again for your help. P.

Hello, I have got a plugin that is working with prefix 0x168600. I want to create a new plugin, that does basically the same thing. So I duplicated my project and source files and got a new prefix from Adobe, 0x16a000. When both plugins are loaded I get a message from InDesign telling me the plugins conflict. Also the plugin that loads last is picking up menu strings from the other plugin. If I change the 0x16a000 prefix to 0x16a777, the conflict message has now gone but some of the menu strings are still being taken from the first plugin. I am sure I have done some thing wrong here, has any one else seen this sort of thing? Thanks.

Hello, Is there a way of setting this resource programmatically? We have an old plugin that did not have this resource and now the documents are being opened in InDesign 5 we are getting the missing plugin message. Our new plugin has this resource. I was rather hoping that opening the old documents with the new plugin loaded and saving the documents would solve this, afraid not. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, Is there a way of achieving the same as the sample basictextadornment with out actually setting an attribute? What I would like to do is temporally apply a background colour to some text. The other advantage this would have is the document would remain 'clean' so other users without the plugin could open the document. Thanks.

Hello, Just posting this as it might help some one. I have found a way of doing this, probably not the best way. Convert your pict or .bmp file to a .png file. I used Apple preview. In you .fr file you will need to declare your new resource. resource PNGA(2255) "Register.png" In your dialog IconSuiteWidget ( kRegistePictureWidgetId, 2255, .... .... .. } I must admit this is all new to me. P.
