Could you please share the device specification, screen shot of "About devices" under Settings and a reproducible short clip of the issue(you can share it via dropbox) if possible. Also, just to confirm you are able to reproduce the issue with example.apk that I had attached via dropbox. Regards, Nimit

"I attempt to run the APK on an Android device" does that means now you are now longer see "Class flash.ui::GameInput could not be found" error. Also, to work with this API's you need OUYA console and with in which XBOX controller can work. -Nimit

You can use http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2 with FB 4.6. Below are the steps to overlay the sdk 1. Exit Flash Builder. 2. (Optional) Back up the Flex SDK by copying the entire directory. In Flash Builder, for example, copy the directory at: Mac OS: /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/sdks/4.6.0 3. Download the appropriate AIR SDK file for your operating system e.g. http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2, unzip and save it on your MAC OS X. 4. In Terminal, run the below command sudo ditto /path/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac /Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.6/sdks/4.6.0 5. (Optional) To access the new AIR 3.8 APIs, update your application descriptor file to the 3.8 namespace. To update the namespace, change the xmlns attribute in your application descriptor to: <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.8"> 6. (Optional) To ensure that the output SWF file targets SWF version 21, pass an additional compiler argument: -swf-version=21. Hope this will help. Regards, Nimit

The above behaviour is correct. You are explicitly disable the specified display resolution which is "high"on mentioned device e.g. iPad3,4 at <requestedDisplayResolution excludeDevices="iPad3,1 iPad3,2 iPad3,3 iPad3,4 iPad3,5 iPad3,6">high</requestedDisplayResolution> , so devices will work on standard resolution. Request you to follow http://blogs.adobe.com/airodynamics/2012/12/07/excluding-devices-from-requested-display-resolution-mode/, hope this will help. Regards, Nimit

Could you please overlay your sdk again with the latest build available at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html. It could be possible that your airgloblal.swc is not updated. You can follow the steps mentioned at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html for overlaying. -Nimit

This is a known issue and is planned to fixed in next release of Flash Professional. The initial or the orientation of the app is decided by the value of aspectratio and autoorients tag in the application descriptor. By the time, actionscript code is hit, the runtime has already figured out the launch orientation and hence you are facing such issue. If you want your app to launch in portrait only mode, set aspectRatio tag to portrait. Regards, Nimit
