That's what I do ( = CTRL+ALT keys and use the Action Palette fly-out menu item Save Action ), but with the error I reported. Just tried to find a possible solution to this problem like changing Ps language to my original native language, but it also failed... Now I'm wondering if "Ps Saving Actionset to text file" relies on some resources files ?

Long time ago, I encountered an error when trying to export an actionset to a text file. Since this day, if I want to export again an actionset, Ps prompt an error message saying : "Could not complete the command because of a program error." Stangely, a text file is yet created, but the content always corresponds to the actionset of the first time I encountered the error message. The PSErrorLog reports : ..\..\sources\ZStrings.cpp : 5334 : REQUIRE failed Looking for a possible solution different than reseting the Ps preferences. If I remember well I had already tried that the first time I had met the error, but to no avail.

My new way of thinking : all color values returned by the different workflows are accurate, but only when they are used in the same context in which they have been obtained, that is to say, when used with datas with a corresponding bit depth. Am I on the right way, now ?

If you use the returned colors numbers inside new operation,at the end, it can make a difference. Now if you compare visually the returned colors, the difference is very very small - hardly or not at all noticeable. That's my understanding for the moment (Hope, I'm not wrong ! :)).

After new tests, the results are: Dither ON : Lab-8bits --> RGBwspace : R= 47.00389 G= 47.00389 B= 47.00389 Lab-8bits --> RGBwspace --> 16bits : R= 47.00389 G= 47.00389 B= 47.00389 Lab-8bits --> 16bits --> RGBwspace : R= 47.38521 G= 47.38521 B= 47.38521 Dither OFF : Lab-8bits --> RGBwspace : R= 47.00389 G= 47.00389 B= 47.00389 Lab-8bits --> RGBwspace --> 16bits : R= 47.00389 G= 47.00389 B= 47.00389 Lab-8bits --> 16bits --> RGBwspace : R= 47.38521 G= 47.38521 B= 47.38521 Conclusion : with use dither option on or off, I obtain the same color values.

Hello everybody, I need advice from the community about color management before getting color values with Color Sampler. Let say I have a document (8-bits Lab modes) made of a single layer filled with only one color. Now I want to know what are the RGB values - with decimal digits - of this color in a given RGB working space. I see 3 possible worflows : - first one : change mode to 16-bits then convert to the targeted RGB working space - second one : directly convert to the targeted RGB working space - third one : directly convert to the targeted RGB working space then change mode to 16-bits For each worflow, I get the RGB Color Values with the help of a Color Sampler script. The result of this little experience is : Second workflow and third one return same RGB color values, but the first one gives different RGB color values. Now the question : What is the more correct workflow between - converting to 16-bits Lab first then to the RGB Space or - converting directly to the RGB Space ?

In fact the SListener doesn't records nothing when I change the thumbnail size, so I guess I have had the code to open the Layer Panel options from elsewhere, probably from the configurator.

I wish we could directly set the Thumbnail inside Layer Panel with the help of a script. Sadly the listener doesn't record the setting of the Thumbnail Size, it only records the call of the Layer panel options . Well played ! I'm far of fully understand the code (except that you used Jarda's solution). After testing, I found that the script returns inverted x,y results. Tried a few things (like reversing) but unsuccessfully... I'm also enable to separate the x from the y !! I also found that after moving or deleting an annotation, then running the script returns wrong results ( it's like if old values was kept in memory).

Eventhough if your script has some drawbacks for totaly suiting my needs, I will see if I am able to do something with your script. Using pathPoints... well it seems a good idea, I should had to think about it ! I will try something with that. From what I have read, maybe storing the data I need inside metadata and then parsing the data could be also a solution , but this one I will have to learn. My PS version is 13.01. The count tool menu option is always greyed out. I have never used the Count Tool. Isn't it only available inside PS extended ?

Thanks for sharing a possible way to do it. As my scripting skills are very limited (almost only the very basic, ), I was hopping for a simplier solution based on action descriptor code. I will have a look at your solution, even if it seems way too much complicated for me.
