Dynamic Text should preserve Area Type in custom shape (don’t force rectangle)Open for Voting

When you have Area Type inside a custom vector shape, toggling/converting to Dynamic Text turns it into a rectangular bounding box, losing the shape container. This is surprising/destructive and reads like a bug in workflow, even if it’s “by design.”

I got an error message as shown in the attached screenshot. I did a search and it appears I need to uninstall my Adobe software and reinstall it. I can't uninstall the software as I get the same message. What do I do now?

I am running Windows 11 on a Microsoft Surface Pro 11, which runs on the Qualcomm chip and I assume all the Creative Cloud apps are running in emulation mode. Thanks for your help!

I’m not sure how it I did it, but on my old computer, whenever I set my font size to 100 pts., capital letters would measure out to 1 inch high on my project window ruler. It was nice because, 150 pts. was 1.5”, 175 pts. was 1.75”, 200 was 2”, etc.
