 This amazed the heck out of me, so I have to share.  My wife is President of a local Garden Club and asked me to help create a poster for an event.  Because she has never used Generative AI, she was not encumbered with thoughts that limited what you might reasonably ask of it, so she gave me this completely (I thought) OTT prompt to paste in its entirety into the Prompt to Edit text field:Create a premium A4 Christmas Lunch invitation for the Awatere Garden Club. Is Photoshop Generative AI getting worse, or am I just noticing it?I've been using Photoshop Generative Fill for quite a while, and recently I've noticed a significant drop in the quality of the results.The biggest issue for me is texture and detail. Results that previously matched the original image quite well are now often soft, blurry, or lacking the original texture. This is particularly noticeable when working with fabrics, rugs, surfaces and other detailed photographic material.I've tested different models, including Firefly 1 and the newer models, and I'm seeing similar problems. I've also tried different prompts and selections, so I'm wondering whether something has changed on Adobe's side rather than it being an issue with my particular workflow.I'm currently using Photoshop 27.10.Has anyone else noticed a decline in Generative Fill quality recently, particularly with texture/detail preservation? Hi!I have a studio photograph of glasses with a gold metal frame. The image will be used for online shopping, so colour accuracy is very important.The issue is that the white highlights and dark shadows obscure the actual gold colour of the frame, making it difficult to represent the product accurately. What would be the best way to reduce the highlights and minimize the shadows in Photoshop while preserving the natural gold colour and metallic appearance of the frame? Thank you!Feiga

 I want to export individual layers as PNG files.

I select the box marquis selection tool and drag and drop to select an area. I used to be able to then drag and move that selection box to fine tune its location. I can no longer do that since the 27.11.0 update.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I need your help.  I have PS CS5.1 on a disk and am looking at MacBook Pro that have HighSierra which is the last operating system that it will run on.  Many computers on eBay, but many have a SSD drives.  Will my PS 5.1 run ok on the SSD?  I’m not computer knowledgeable and don’t want to buy a MBP that I won’t be able to use.Thank you!

Photoshop 27.11.0 will sometimes crash when selecting the Object Selection Tool. Windows 11 Pro with Intel i9, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. Happens randomly when choosing the Object Selection Tool. Reset Photoshop preferences, made no difference. Disabled Object Finder and Object Subtract, made no difference. Generated crash report multiple times, sent to Adobe. Sometimes it will black out the entire screen before crashing, sometimes will freeze Photoshop where task manager can’t end task, requiring  system reboot.

 I don’t have any other details to report. The error message always appears after the program has apparently closed, which is rather strange. I have not suffered any lost work. It is concerning, though, since I don’t really know what is going on. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Since 10/29 Photoshop has quit unexpectedly twice, something it's never done before. Crash reports were turned off in Photoshop so I have no crash reports. Both times I have used Generative AI to alter photos of nude models, the selected area either generates nothing at all or a black graphic area.  These are nude adults so from what I understand that isn’t a guideline issue.  If it is, then I would assert that most people using Photoshop are artists, and artists commonly have to deal with models or paint human figures, etc.  I have no idea why this would or should be an issue.  Adobe should not be policing what art is made, and in my case these photos are being edited to be reference for traditional figure paintings.  Should I remind Adobe that for thousands of years we have been making traditional, classical nude art?

I would like to know how to disable or hide the "AI Assisted" and "Pro Editor" mode switch button (shown in the attached screenshot) from the workspace/header.I prefer a clean workspace without these AI feature toggles. Is there a preference setting to turn off this UI element? 

Hello,I am using Photoshop 27.11 although this has been happening in earlier versions as well. After using Content-Aware Fill then flattening the image and Saving, I am unable to use the next tool properly as it seems to only adjust the previous area that was filled.  For instance if I use Shadows and Highlights after, only the new filled area is affected. The only way I can move forward is to close the file and reopen. Is there a setting I should adjust somewhere to allow the file to continue? Thanks so much for your help.

I’m self taught, but I’ve been doing mockups in Photoshop for over 10 years, and this is a file I’ve used and edited before. Today I went to change a smart object and this thing popped up: Photoshop alert window saying “Select the Mockup’s decal layer, then try again.”I’ve never seen this before, and it certainly wasn’t part of the original set-up. What’s going on? What is a decal layer? Why is it applied to this smart object and none of the others in this Photoshop file? What I’ve done to troubleshoot:Updated Photoshop. Restarted Photoshop. Restarted my computer.  Converted to Layers and then re-converted it to a new smart object. (Note, the convert-to-smart-object process has nothing new or that would designate a “decal layer.”) Converted the smart object to another smart object (the newest smart object is also locked behind this decal layer. When I assembly Panorama HDR in Photoshop in RAW, more like 20 files, display get black and computer get restart. I have Intel Core Ultra 7 265k, NVIDIA GeoForce RTX5050, 64 GB RAM. Is possible that mi help set off Multi-threaded Compositing??

I was already running Photoshop 26 (not sure which build number, but I think 27.10) For some reason the Creative Cloud app was acting as if Photoshop was not installed on my machine even though it was.  Photoshop was not included in “Installed on this machine” under “Your Apps” and it would not auto-update. I waited weeks hoping it would resolve itself, and then finally just went and installed 27.11 manually (I had to click “Install” down under “Featured apps in your plan” instead of the usual “Update” towards the top.)But now, all my presets, preferences, plugins, actions, workspaces, brushes, patterns, gradients, swatches, etc. from my previous version are completely gone. And there's only one "Adobe Photoshop 2026 Settings" folder and only one "Adobe Photoshop 2026" apllication folder, so it’s not like I can access the previous files to manually migrate.And yes, I’ve always had “Import previous settings and preferences” checked, but I think CC treated this as a new install instead o

When I need to crop an image, the Progress box freezes up and I have to shut down completely and start over with all work lost 

I’m getting this error when trying to export artboards to files:IOError: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop.It’s happening with any file I try to export this way, even blank ones, and no matter what file type I select. I can use export as, quick export as PNG, etc. perfectly fine. This started today, before AND after I updated to V 27.11.

If I open 1 image into Camera Raw, adjust the sliders end then push open, the file opens into PS. All of a sudden, when I open multiple images into ACR, then push open, the previews update in Bridge but the images do not open in PS. I have to open 1 image at a time. What can be causing this? 

When adding text to an image, the color picker to match the text with colors within the image has been missing (I’m using the lastest release).Painful Workaround -close the color picker, go back to the image, select the color dropper, pick the color, copy the color code….THEN go back to the text, highlight, select color, go to color code box, paste the color code.UGGGGHHHH…..
