Hi. CreateJS' containers don't have a zIndex property. If you want to change the depth of a child in the display list, you need to use one or more of the following methods: addChild, addChildAt, setChildIndex, sortChildren, swapChildren and swapChildrenAt. https://createjs.com/docs/easeljs/classes/Container.html Regards, JC

The same as before: you need to prefix the layer's name. So subtitlesLayer.dreamSubtitles instead of just dreamSubtitles.

Thanks for the video. As you're using advances layers, you need to use the layer name as a prefix in your code. For example: Buttons.dreamButtonRoom instead of only dreamButtonRoom.

Great. It's because in that scene one of your buttons is called introButtonRoom but in your code it was called introButton only. Forgot to mention that.

Hi. You have two types of issues: 1 - Functions with the same name in the first two scenes. Give the duplicates different names; 2 - As you're using advances layers, you need to use the layer name as a prefix. For example: Buttons.dreamButton instead of only dreamButton. Also please make sure to test your movie by using Ctrl + Enter (Cmd + Return) to test the whole movie and not Alt + Ctrl + Enter (Option + Cmd + Return) to test the current scene only. Hi. Yeah, I have been noticing some inaccuracies in the Eyedropper Tool in recent versions of Animate. For example, if I need to get a color from a shape, I cannot do this from the root, but I have to instead go deeper in the hierarchy until where the shape is located. I think some other users have reported problems to this tool in the Prerelease Forums as well. Hi. Usually this happens when the same button receives multiple event listeners of the same type when a frame is revisited. One approach I like to use is to check for a custom boolean flag. Like this: if (!this.started) { // code to add listeners this.started = true; } This ensures that the listeners are added only once. But if you show us your code, we may be able to help you better. Hi. You need to make sure that the source bitmap files have a bigger resolution than the scaled resolution of the instances that you have on stage. Also, make sure that you're excluding vector assets from the texture generation in the Publish Settings if performance isn't a big deal in your banner. Regards, JC

Hi. Thanks a lot for telling us the solution. The implementation of advanced layers has several conceptual and practical problems. This happened because when advanced layers is on each layer is turned into a Movie Clip instance and if an instance name is Error a conflict happens because Error is a top level class in AS3. Users that don't use code shouldn't have to worry about it.
