Yes, I've imported my graphics by reference. I've had similar problems once, and in my case I've identified imported PNG graphics as the culprit. Weird, and in no way logical, but that's how it could be solved for me. SVG is a vector format and doesn't have a resolution. As it doesn't have pixels, a "dpi" (or ppi for that matter) setting makes no sense anyway. The only size related applicable information is x/y dimensions and scale, just like with formats like EPS or PDF. What I've learned after my first unsuccessful attempt to install FrameMaker: The installer requires access to a current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Didn't work at first on my computer (Win 7/64 Pro), because I've never used IE (but Firefox) and so I've never updated it. After doing so installations went through without problems. The left indent in the paragraph format must be set to the tab position. This will make sure that any second line will start where the text in the first line starts. No way I'd know of to automatically keep long lines out of the page number area, though. I'm doing this with manually entered line breaks after generating the TOC. If you enter one additional (redundant) tab after the <$paratext> building block on the reference page, the page number will still be placed on the right, even if the line breaks. Gary, it is possible to save a MIF file with an *.fm extension. This may happen inadvertently if you open a MIF file and when saving - in the save file dialog - you enter a name (or click on another file to use and edit that name) manually, but the choosen file type is still MIF. There has been a plugin named "FindChangeSpecial" by Rick Quatro (Carmen Publishing), which did exactly what you need: find a selected format (paragraph, character, etc.), and replace by a different format (including the default para font). +1 to linsims​ suggestion, the FindChangeFormatsBatch plugin is a great tool for that purpose. You can easily map all name variations of paragraph formats to the same target paragraph format and get rid of all unwanted versions at once. Hmmm… strange. I get slightly different results: On opening, the PDF is correctly displayed at full page size, however, the zoom level is not correctly saved as such in the document settings. There's "Standard" (or "Default") displayed instead. This is somewhat contradicting, since my Acrobat is set to display at "Zoom: Automatic". Heather, if you're hit by the bug, but not using the PNG format for graphics, you might want to check the following: I've done further tests, and besides removing/replacing the png graphics in my files, also temporarily disabling the graphics display altogether fixes the bug. Or better: fixes it until the graphics display is enabled again. However, this allows you to edit your tab stops as desired, at any given time. For doing so, go to View > Options, and deselect the graphics option. Afterwards you should be able to edit your tab stops… at least here it works. Bernd ... View more

Stefan, the terms "before" and "after" are misleading in this context, not following the logical cursor movement in that text. If you put a right-to-left mark before "Apple" (which is left of the "A"), you'll get the opposite of what you want. Actually the whole paragraph is RTL, just "Apple©" should appear LTR, and then the text should continue in RTL. In my experience just using the plain RTL/LTR markers doesn't work reliably in the context of latin text within arabic paragraphs. I've had best success when using the "left-to-right embedding" and the "previous/original writing direction" markers for that. To be precise: after the last arabic word, press the cursor button once to have the cursor directly left of the "A" enter the "left-to-right embedding" marker. This will change the order of all following text, but that doesn't matter yet. using the cursor button, step through the whole word "Apple©", until the cursor is just right of the "©" now enter the "original writing direction" marker (or a right-to-left marker for that matter) Now it should look as expected. Today I was hit by the same bug (FM2015, fully patched to the current version). MIF wash didn't help. Then I tried the route of creating a completely new document (not using the existing, buggy file as a template), but instead using an empty standard template and importing the formats from the buggy file afterwards. Without the content the bug was gone and tab stop editing worked as expected. Then I copied the whole content of the old file to the new file, and the bug was back. Now I deleted everything again, and the bug was gone again. So the bug was content related. Cutting a long story short, I was able to track down the culprit to… an imported PNG graphic. Yes, really. Copied the anchored frame with that graphic into the new file, and boom, there was the bug. Deleted just the graphic (keeping the frame), and it was gone again. Replaced the PNG with a TIF version of the same image, and the bug remained gone. Now my document is fully working again, and I'll never use a PNG again. I did it this time only for developing a preliminary layout, and the PNG was a file from our customer which I didn't want to use later anyway, so it was just for testing purposes. I usually only use TIF or EPS files for pixel images. On a side note, this specific file with that PNG image worked correctly in FM2019. To fix varying leader dots just create a character format, setting the font and size for the leader dots (and page number) to the same parameters for all TOC entries. Apply this character format to the tabulator and pagenum entry for all relevant paragraphs on the Reference page, and the TOC will automatically be created with all leader dots and page numbers being of the same size.
