Revert to inherited is he one I meant, sorry. Are you running the connector as administrator? The web connector should do all the work, you shouldn't have to add anything manually. If they are not appearing after running it, there must be a permissions error.

You usually get a 404 because the handlers are not set-up correctly for the website. For example if you add a new virtual directory without running the web connector. Recreating the Web connector should recreate the tomcat_All DLL. As you said it wasn't there it probably wont have done the other parts correctly. Remove the web connector, restart IIS and then add it back, make sure you add it to all the sites you have there. You should see the command prompt window showing it being added. If this is still not working then under the virtual directory of your site, go into handler mappings and use the "Revert to Parent" option on the right hand side. You can do this for the ISAPI filters too.

This looks like the DLLs left over from your previous CF9 installation. If you look in the IIS Management Console under ISAPI and CGI restrictions (This is in the root of IIS, not your virtual site) do you see any "Macromedia Server Extensions" references DLLs from the old CF9 install? If so it will probably be worth removing them. The only one you should have in there for a CF11 install is "tomcat_All" which points to a isapi_redirect.dll. If you don't see this either I would re-run the Web Server Configuration Tool (As Administrator) as this should restore it or worse case you could try adding manually. The default is shown here: If you have followed the lock-down guide at all you will need to make sure you have applied the correct permission to these folders too.

I believe this is a bug (Bug#3865484 - CF11 update 3 breaks chart style json that uses legend). The status shows it has been fixed by Adobe but its just waiting on testing & deployment by the looks of it. Probably not a lot that can be done unless you want to turn the legends off on your charts.

As mentioned it is available. In the post I made in that other thread I mentioned "If its not there then you will need to run the server management and add it to the IIS role on the server." You will need to get your server admin to do this. Your best bet will be to get that on there and trace the 500 error.

There seems to be a typo here. Can you clarify... The error "[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Procedure or function 'ListClientDPReceiptFormat' expects parameter '@idCient', which was not supplied." has the parameter defined as @idCient but your cfprocparam has the dbvarname = "@idClient". These are spelt differently. I think this maybe related to what is mentioned in this bug - Bug#3865064 - ColdFusion 11 Update 3 Breaks CFPROCRESULT Adam Cameron notes: "Basically, then, this is a case of the code in question was incorrect, but the user was getting away with it because the DBVARNAME was being ignored. Now that it's not being ignored, the code actually has to be legit ;-). Fair enough, In that case."

Coldfusion can be installed where ever you like (within reason). The issue you are having is probably related some something a lot different. What are the issues you are having? Did you uninstall CF9 or just install CF11. Is it possible still are both running together?

Are the inputs required for task different all the time? You can pass variables through the task URL to the server side code or store them in a database to be read when the task executes. What you are needing to do is remove all the interactive stuff and leave just your coldfusion code. For example, you could run the interactive process as normal but instead create a task that calls your coldfusion page with all the table updates etc rather then calling this page directly. This will then be run initially for the first time and then scheduled for a future time.

Why do you need to use javascript? The scheduler calls a URL. The idea being that its mainly got server side scripting to process, possibly with the odd output if you were debugging. If you are using the javascript to call a CFC then why don't you use ColdFusion to do it? You can use <cfinvoke> - https://wikidocs.adobe.com/wiki/display/coldfusionen/cfinvoke

jQuery is something that the browser executes client side when the page is loaded. The scheduler in CF is not a browser and will not know what to do with the javascript.

If you open the IIS Management Console and go to the site you want to check, over on the right hand side where the Stop and Restart actions are there is a "Failed request traced" link. Click this to open it and enable it. Once this is enabled you can go back to the "Home" part of the site in IIS where all the icons for configuration are. If you have the module installed as part of IIS you will have a Failed Request Tracing Rules icon to open. If its not there then you will need to run the server management and add it to the IIS role on the server. Inside here you can add content to trace. Click the add button on the right hand side and keep the "All Content" selected and then on the next page enter the status code you are getting. Apply it to all the providers on the final page and click finish. Now if you visit the page you have the problem with and get the 500 error a request trace may log and you can find it (by default) in directory in the screenshot above. They are xml files that written which you can open up in a browser. It will show you all the steps it goes through processing the page and hopefully show you where it stops and give you the reason. Not always guaranteed and sometimes the errors can be really obscure. The fact you have problems with images rather then an actual page may mean it doesn't work but until you try it you wouldn't know.

I am running Coldfusion 11 on a 2008 win server box (IIS7). I have configured websockets in coldfusion using the built in server with all the defaults with the addition of my keystore for the SSL setup. I am using the the secure="true" on the cfwebsocket tag. <cfwebsocket name="mySocket" onMessage="defaultmsgHandler" onOpen="openHandler" onError="errorHandler" secure="true"/> The rest of the websocket code is from the adobe dev connection - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/coldfusion/articles/html5-websockets-coldfusion-pt1.html My addition is simply the secure attribute. All works fine, over both SSL and Non SSL (ws / wss) exactly how I expected. The problem came when I was testing it in older browsers < IE 10 etc. The flash fallback is loading up as I can see the element in the html but there is no connection to the websocket server and no data is moved around. As soon as I remove the secure = true attribute everything is fine. Flash fallback works exactly how I was expecting. I have all the relevant ports open on the firewall. Flash fallback uses 1243 and it seems to connect when I trace it via wireshark but the connection from flash back to websockets doesnt initiate. Is it intended to work this way? Am I missing a trick somewhere? Do I need to change something in the crossdomain.xml policies?

I had a instance of images not loading before and them giving off a 500 error. It was happening on the first time the page was visited too so may not be the same issue you are having. Turns out the static file handler wasn't installed as part of IIS correctly and the handler mappings for the images had messed up. If there is no handler mapping for a file type then it passes it too the static file handler, which in my case wasn't installed so was getting 500 errors. The knowledge base article gives you an example / resolution of that problem. If anything might give you a push in the right direction if it is IIS related. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2196177 Turning on Failed Request Tracing for 500 errors may give you some idea as to where the problem occurs as well.

DateDiff determines the number of complete "datepart" units between the two dates. In your code you are comparing two dates formatted a different way. now() will include the time as well, which when compare to the the other date you formatted (which would have a time of midnight) has a difference between the dates of 7.5 hours (by my time). As you specified 'd' and this difference is not a full 24 hours the difference is 0. If you do this:
#DateDiff('d',DateFormat(ndx & '-Nov-14'), DateFormat(now()) )#
You would get the result you are expecting. You will be comparing like for like date formats.

Make sure you have installed the hot fixes for Coldfusion 11 (updates 1 & 2). They are available through the Coldfusion Administrator. The issue you described was fixed in update 1 I believe (ColdFusion 11 Update 1). Make sure you reconfigure the sites using the website connector tool when you have done the updates.

I did increase the heap size to min 1024, max 4026 but not the perm size. This didn't seem to make a difference. I will do the perm size as well to see if this helps. I stopped all traffic to one of the servers from the load balancer last night and the CPU has stayed normal, so it seems to have some tie in with the traffic it sends.

Hi, We seem to have run in to a problem with two CF instances having high CPU usage after 1-2 hours. We have three servers, two of which are back ends to a load balancer, the third is just on its own. They all have the default installation of CF 11 Enterprise running on W2012 R2 / IIS 8 I noticed that CF installed on the two backend servers started using a lot of CPU (30-40%) after a couple of hours, then as time went on further so did the CPU usage. If left overnight it would be hitting 100% constantly. These are fresh installs and have no content being served except for the default web site in IIS. So this rules out dodgy code etc. All three servers have the same software installed on them and the same IIS configuration. I went through the CF 11 lockdown guide to see if this would make any difference, the issue occurs with or without the changes in this guide. I have changed the jre to a different version and this has made no difference. I have made changes recommended for the workers.properties files, still the same. The only difference between these two servers and the third server is that the two are behind a load balancer. This LB polls the servers to see if it will get a response. I enabled the firewall on one of the servers to block all incoming traffic and the problem has not occurred since. So I assume it has something to do with the request being sent from the load balancers? They send OPTIONS request every 3 seconds to both of these servers that have the problem. Could this be causing a problem with CF 11?? I have looked at the threads through ProcExp when the problem occurs and can see the threads related to msvcr100.dll seem to be the ones that are using up all the CPU. This file is the same through out all our servers and even after reinstalls etc the problem still occurs, so I don't think this file is corrupt. Any one got any other ideas?

I would say its probably unlikely they will. They have been trying to drive people away from Dreamweaver when it comes to ColdFusion development for a while. Ben Forta posted this on his blog last year to explain: Ben Forta | Blog The new release of CF Builder has made it a lot easier for me to transition while still allowing for front end development. Still CF 11 is very new and they may still give Dreamweaver users something.

The new IE 11 user agent string is usually: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko The difference now being "Trident" instead of "MSIE"
