Hi,
Can you try out the following solutions :
First Solution :
Please uninstall and reinstall Adobe Photoshop <version> (as per the dialog). This should resolve the issue (ideally this happens if Adobe Photoshop Beta was installed at some point of time)
Second Solution : If the above solution doesn't help, please try a clean reinstallation.
Please follow the steps below:
Backup all personal data, like templates, presets etc.
Uninstall everything in CC including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
Then uninstall the CC desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
Clean your computer of CC files http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
Restart your computer (don't skip this)
Reinstall the CC desktop app, https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html
Use the desktop app to install your CC programs
Restore your personal data.
Third Solution : Ideally, the first two solutions are preferred. If that doesn't work altogether, then you can use the below mentioned solution: You need not have to downgrade the app to LrC 13.4, you can still continue to use it in LrC 13.5/LrC 13.5.1 as an Additional external editor. With this approach of using the Additional External Editor, The image is created first, imported into the catalog, and then opened in Photoshop (This approach adds copies to your catalog, even if you never edit them).

@MrJPH @TmpArt1 Have you uninstalled PS Beta at any point of time? If yes, you may encounter such issues. Best bet is to reinstall PS 2024 as mentioned in the warning dialog.

1) Do you have any external hard disk connected during this process? If yes, can you please disconnect the hard disk and retry the uninstall-reinstall process?
2) Can you install PS 2023 once and check if Edit in PS 2023 works fine from Lightroom? If it works fine, you can try to install PS 2024 again and check once

At any point of time had you installed/uninstalled PS beta? This issue can occur if thats the case.
Please try to uninstall PS 2024 and reinstall it. Open it once manually after reinstalling, and then try the qorkflow through LRC

You can just rename the 'Lightroom' to say 'LightroomOldCopy' and then restart Lightroom Classic.
This will automatically create a fresh 'Lightroom' folder.
Post this , please check if you are still facing the slowness

Hi @dennishmiller ,
Can you try this workflow :
1) Close Lightroom
2) Take a backup of this folder : C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom and rename it to LightroomOld
3) Restart Lightroom
This solution has worked for some folks who were facing a similar issue. So, can you please try this and let me know if that works?

Hi @staceyc97341146 ,
When you open Lightroom Classic, go to Preferences -> External Editing.
Under the external editing tab, you should see a drop down which shows the PS version selected. Please confirm if you are seeing a drop down with PS selected?
If you are not seeing this, please open Photoshop seperately once and then close it. Now recheck if the preferences (shown above) is displaying Photoshop.
Then retry the workflow

1) After re-installing Photoshop 2024, did you try to uninstall Photoshop Beta ? (If yes, then you may have to reinstall Photoshop 2024 again)
If the issue still persists, could you please try out the below mentioned steps:
a) Can you check if the same error is observed with Photoshop 2023 version as well?
b) Do you have any external hard disk connected?

Hi @jaiy ,
I saw your video.
Do you see the same rendition when you go to Develop module as well ? Also when in develop, under msaking do you see any 'update' for any of the masks? If yes, click on 'Update' and then compare again.
Alternatively, can you try this approach :
1) Go to Develop Module
2) Select All images
3) Ensure 'Auto Sync' is on
4) Click on the preset that you want to apply
Now once the settings have been applied on all images , please check if it is the same.

1) Do you have Lightroom Desktop (just the LR as seen in Creative cloud) installed on your system ? If not, please install it once from Creative Cloud
2) Quit Lightroom Classic
3) Launch Lightroom Desktop
4) Quit Lightroom Desktop
5) Relaunch Lightroom Classic and share your experiences

You can send them(diagnostic reports) over an email (haarithg@adobe.com)
Also another curious thought, have you enabled Sync (images either being downloaded/uploaded or paused)?

Hi @JuniorJr ,
When Edit in Photoshop is greyed out, it can also mean that the Photoshop installation has not been detected yet(from Lightroom Classic).
Even after installing Photoshop, if you see this option is greyed out in Lightroom Classic, I would suggest you to open Photoshop seperately and then close it. This action will help Lightroom to detect that Photoshop is installed in the machine.
