16GB Memory
By @Reddhare_
I don't know if low memory is the reason for your particular issue, but 16 GB might not be sufficient for efficient InDesign operations.

je suis bien en 20.2
By @corinne.rambaud
As a test, try to revert to InDesign 20.1 (Creative Cloud app > InDesign > Other Versions menu).
Will it make a difference?

Are you using Typeface? If so, there's a known incompatibility between Typeface and InDesign 20.2.
You can revert to InDesign 20.1 until it's fixed by either Adobe or Typeface (Creative Cloud app > InDesign > Other Versions menu).
Also, other users reported that if you disable font auto-activation in Typeface, you can still use it with InDesign 20.2.

Yes, I can confirm it.
Minimized windows become "unminimized" and return to InDesign once another document is opened in InDesign.
Definitely a bug.
I never minimize InDesign windows so I'm never affected by this (I do use tabs but not the application frame).

You might be affected by the bloated Photoshop metadata issue that can make InDesign and PDF file sizes unusually huge.
Check this thread, there's also a reference to a script that can remove excess metadata:

Acrobat. I used to be able to make a PDF that had the first two pages as i & ii and then the actual reading pages starting 1 & 2 but Acrobat now starts it at 1, and there’s no option to set it to section numbering anymore. By @carenflo
Well. You have "Use logical page numbers" unchecked. Check it.

I have the same problem. I've just started using Acrobat 2025 and it doesn't offer that solution or anything like it. I'd love to know a workaround.
By @carenflo
Do you have "Use logical page numbers" selected in Acrobat Preferences > Page Display? (If I understand your question correctly.)

By @mohammed_sami
And what task is that specifically? Maybe a script can do this.

I had a subscription till summer 2024 and now I cannot restore it.

Just to make sure: does it mean that you do have a subscription now, or that it expired back in 2024?

Slack was my issue. Any way to get around? I need Slack on.
By @Sara_K
Does Slack have some kind of setting that affects this behavior? If not, then the only solution is to report this bug to Slack.

Interesting. The exact same issue was reported just recently by another user. I'll need to look it up. As far as I remember, this issue affected certain JPEGs when viewing them in InDesign and Photoshop, but not in Preview (if you're on Mac). The solution was to resave such images as TIFF or PNG (if, again, I recall correctly).

Thank you. Do you know why I'm getting this white stripe at the bottom of some photos in Bridge? They're Adobe stock photos (I have a sub) so they're good quality.
By @ali_4619
I'm not sure where this white stripe comes from. You may want to try to post this question to the Bridge forum:

Adobe Bridge is not a storage solution. To put it in simple terms, Bridge is simply a browser for files stored elsewhere.

Hi Meenakshi,
Thank you for your reply.
I'm using the Fill and Sign tool, where I already have my signature added:
Here's an example:
I've just received this simple form with 3 fields:
What would any user naturally do?
First, type the name.
Second, add a signature (which I do via the Fill and Sign tool).
Third... Oops. There's no third. The document is now locked without any explanation provided.
A simple task that should take less than a minute turns into a time-wasting disaster.
Plus, this form has yet another field at the top that should be filled out by the sender, but that was still empty when they sent it (it's not a life-or-death agreement, this doc is a simple formality that doesn't require hundred layers of security).
Like I mentioned, it wasn't always like this. This bizarre behavior was adopted only relatively recently. (Couple years ago? Not sure.)
Like I also mentioned, Preview also adopted this behavior. But I believe Acrobat should do better than Preview.
At the very least, users should be clearly informed about the locking of the document AND given an option to disable this behavior.
Thanks,
Leo

I've just run into this annoying behavior again. I don't sign PDFs often so I keep forgetting about this new bizarre functionality. I'm not sure when it changed but it wasn't always like this. There were times when PDF could be edited after adding a signature.
With all fairness it's not only Acrobat: Preview on Mac also adopted this counter-productive and time-wasting behavior.
What if we need to correct a typo? What if after adding a signature you realized you forgot to fill out a field?
If anything, then before adding a signature the app must clearly inform the user that the document will be locked after this and let undo or cancel the action.
Well, this time I had enough of it and found a more permanent solution: Foxit PDF Reader. Fortunately, it still behaves in a human-oriented way and lets you edit the document after inserting a signature. Will be using it to sign PDFs from now on.

In addition to Robert's suggestions:
If you do want to keep using Typeface, revert to InDesign 20.1 (CC app > InDesign > Other Versions menu). The problem with Typeface only started in InDesign 20.2 and is currently under investigation:
