I think you are mistaken. Generative Remove never had the option to choose a source area. You are probably confusing this with the Heal and Clone Options each of which has a source area which the user is able to move if necessary. If you don't see that option then press "V" to reveal the overlay.

The reason that nothing happens when you select Tools>Photoshop is probably that you installed Bridge and Photoshop in the incorrect order or you have mismatched versions of the two pieces of software. You must install Bridge first because, when you then install Photoshop, Photoshop installs relevant scripts so that these links work correctly. If you install Photoshop first then it cannot do this since Bridge is not present and no install can take place. I can but recommend that you uninstall both Bridge and Photoshop and reinstall them in the correct order, Bridge first. Use the CC App to install the current versions of each which is essential for full compatibility as they form a matching pair.

I can't see why the Recyle Bin would not show all of your deleted files unless you have at some point chosen the option to "Empty Recycle Bin."

If you are on Windows you can use the OS to selectively restore whatever you want from the recycle bin as long as you haven't emptied it. I can't speak for Mac systems but presumably there is something similar.

Curious as to a definition of distracting people. Tried out the new distraction removal feature on photos containing people ranging from a single person to a group of ten. Each time the program reports that it is unable to detect distracting people. The question is what is this feature aimed at for I haven't yet managed to find it?

It is possible that the original crash was because of the GPU conflict. You can switch off use of the integrated graphics using the NVIDIA Control Panel and/or in Windows Device Manager. Here is some help if you are unsure.

Does your CPU have integrated graphics? (I haven't checked myself.) If so, ensure that this is disabled otherwise you have effectively two GPUs which can cause Camera Raw issues. Report back if this makes a difference.

No, I have never looked at the built in Windows caibration tool. Only ever used third party hardware and software, Datacolor in my case. Oh, and in response to your asking, "Could this be tied to HDR-capable displays? Mine isn't.", well, mine are not either. Something else of concern about ACM that I have noticed is that, if enabled, NVIDIA colour settings are immediately changed so that Desktop colour depth is set to SDR (64-bit). Disabling ACM does not reset this which seems to be the reason that my dispays turned pink and distorted when I simply switched off ACM. I am forced to change colour depth back to SDR(24-bit colour) manually to restore normal service. Came upon this from NVIDIA Support which explains (or confuses us) more. Datacolor say disable ACM but NVIDIA say keep it on!

Curious! My analogous system settings look like this: The switch for "Automatically manage colour for apps" is often shown in a different place in other screenshots. Descriptions frequently say it is found under System>Display>Advanced Display which is where you were looking. In my case, it never was there - in fact it wasn't anywhere until 24H2 was installed and now it appears as in my screenshot. What is your OS Build? Mine is 26100.3037

I use Datacolor Spyder X2 for monitor profiling. The software is unable to save profiles or apply previously generated profiles when ACM is enabled. The manufacturer's advice is to keep ACM disabled.

My Windows 11 System updated itself to 24H2 without my realising. I found that profiling software was no longer functioning as it used to eg. monitor profiles could no longer be saved or applied. I took a while to figure out why but it was because Windows ACM was turned on by default and had altered my color settings in NVIDIA Control Panel. I couldn't even turn off ACM before returning these settings to my normal values without my monitors turning bright pink! Confessing my ignorance, I new nothing about ACM before this happened but, now that I am aware, I ensure that it remains firmly off. The default therefore seems to be ON.

I didn't realise that you were unaware of the tool's move to the Detail Panel. When you said it was disabled I assumed you meant non-functional rather than disappeared! Anyway, glad you are now back up and running thanks to Jeff Arola who realised what was your issue.

Probably a long shot but try with some of your images converted to DNG format and see if the situation remains the same or not. Also, if you share a problem image by uploading to Dropbox or similar and posting a link here, then I could see what happens on my system (Windows 11).

I honestly have never had cause to use the cleaner tool myself, I am simply aware of its existence and what it purports to do. Have you actually tried, perhaps without success, to uninstall using Windows Control Panel? Simply deleting files may cause issues for you because software installers place files in many, often hidden, locations including the Registry. If you wish to chance this then perform a full system backup first in case of a disaster. For future reference, when you do install new Adobe software, use the CC app because, besides being safe and reliable, it offers you the option to clean up older versions. Best of luck.

I too am unable to replicate this. Distraction removal (i.e. Reflections) works fine with all of the Enhance Functions. In what format are your 2004/2005 images? When you say, "I have enabled the Distraction Removal feature in ACR," are you referring to this setting in Camera Raw Preferences? -

If you are dealing with a large number of files at one time and especially if generating high quality previews, then it will cause a delay in thumbnail generation. You might try, in Bridge Preferences, under Thumbnails, checking the box "Prefer Thumbnail Generation Over Preview Generation". This should speed up your thumbnail generation at the expense of delaying preview generation.

So what features do you insist have disappeared? Are you suggesting that renaming a folder is a missing feature? Have you tried using a different workspace? Have you tried a Bridge Preferences reset? This is known to cure such issues. I sound rather like Nelson when I say, "I see no maps."

I have no idea why saving as JPEG works for one file only. I do not experience this. You might also try Photoshop's Image Processor to generate your JPEGs. It can process an entire batch of images in a single execution. It is accessible directly in Photoshop or via Bridge under Tools>Photoshop. If you enable Technology Previews in Camera Raw Preferences, the Denoise function is changed to its new incarnation whereby it is now an editable, non-destructive adjustment and does not produce a new DNG file as before. You will find it in the Detail Panel.

I don't understand your title: 'Can´t rename the maps in "the most important" section' What are the maps and what is the most important section please? Personally I have no problems renaming anything using Adobe Bride, folders, files etc. I am not saying that you don't have an issue but it is certainly not something which is universal. What is your operating system and version of Bridge please?

A misconception here. One does not load anything into Bridge, it is merely a sophisticated browser which shows the contents of your drives. So Bridge is not showing you the content of your drive. May simply be a permissions issue. What is your operating system? (It always helps to state this together with Bridge version you have issue with.)
