One major improvement that would be extremely valuable - allow the generative remove to work at the edge of a photo after it has been adjusted using the transform tools, to fill in the white space that is left over. This is an extremely common scenario for me where I have to go in to photoshop just to fill in a little sliver at the edge of the photo. Being able to do that in LR would be a huge time saver.

Just an update, I realized that the hover to view mask will stop working frequently, and I can adjust the amount slider to fix it, but the eye icons disappearing is more rare. In fact I don't think I've seen that specifically happen since I posted this bug report (although again, the hover to view mask stops working all the time).

I keep getting a bug where I can no longer hover my cursor over a mask to view it. The eyeball icon on the right of the masks also disappear. At first it seemed like the only way to fix this was to quit LRC and restart but eventually I discovered that if I change the Amount slider on the mask everything starts working again. So I have to constantly make a small adjustment to mask amounts and then put the slider back where it was. This happens numerous times over the course of a couple of hours editing. I'm on Mac OS Sonoma but I was getting this bug before upgrading as well. LRC v.13.1

THANK YOU! I must have mistakenly copied all my presets into the default folder when I first got my Mac. At some point I learned about "unhiding" the user library and forgot about the original place where I put them. They were still there despite having uninstalled/reinstalled LR multiple times, so they kept showing up even after clearing out the "user" folder. I deleted them and when I reopened LR (with the presets in the user folder) it was reading them from that location and all of the rename/move/delete/update options are showing for me. Again, thanks for the help, I never would have figured that out.

My issue has nothing to do with the adobe default presets, it's happening with my own custom presets as well as ones that I have purchased: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/develop-presets-cannot-delete-rename-update-etc-bizzare-behavior/m-p/13233505#M291723

Ok, I checked the permissions and they are set to "read and write" for all three levels (myself, "staff", and "everyone"). I looked at a new preset that I created today and it was only "read and write" for me, and the other two were just "read". I tried changing the old preset to match (which didn't make sense, but I figured I might as well try) and it had no effect. Of course even if that was the issue I still don't understand how the presets are still appearing even after deleting the files and reinstalling lightroom.

I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to fix this issue. I just moved from PC to Mac (M1 Max Macbook Pro, MacOS 12.5, Lightroom Classic 11.5) and as part of that transition I had to copy my develop presets from the PC to the Mac. I saved the .xmp files to an SD card and manually copied them into the Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings folder on the MacBook. Everything showed up in the presets panel and the presets work as they should. The problem that I just noticed today is that if I right click on a preset, the only options I get are Add to Favorites/Apply on Import/Export. Rename/Move/Update with Current Settings/Show in Finder/Delete are all missing. And yes, these are my own presets, not the LR default presets. Without those options, managing presets and staying organized becomes very difficult. If I create a new preset and then right click on it, I see all the normal options. I don't know if this is a result of manually copying the presets over versus using the "import" function on the preset panel, but in any case I have tried everything I can think of to fix this. I have gone in to the ACR/Settings folder and deleted all the presets, thinking I could get rid of them that way and then import them from scratch. That didn't work, they are still there when I open LR again. I have checked the "Imported Settings" folder and deleted everything in there as well, to no avail. I have uninstalled LR using the Creative Cloud app, and then reinstalled it. That didn't work, so I tried doing it again and this time I used some obscure Adobe "Creative Cloud Cleaner" tool to uninstall Camera Raw as well (you can't do that from the regualr CC app). Then I reinstalled LR and found that my presets were still there. I have tried switching back and forth between the "Store presets with catalog" setting. Nothing works. I have tried importing the .xmp files from various places including copying them back into the settings folder first. When I try to import them I get one of two error messages... one says "Unable to import presets - All items were already imported". Another says "Unable to import presets - The XMP metadata for the file contained no settings". This happens in all my catalogs including a new one that I created after resintalling LR twice. Someone in this thread from 2019 seemed to have the same issue:https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/can-t-delete-my-presets/m-p/9871099 What in the world is going on here???

Did you ever find a solution? I have the same maddening issue. I have uninstalled lightroom, used the CC cleaner tool to remove ACR, and manually deleted the presets from the Camera Raw/Settings folder and yet when I reinstall lightroom and open a catalog they are still there and I still don't get the "update with current settings" option when I right click on a preset. Meanwhile I cannot get my local adjustment presets to show up in the masking panel. I've wasted the last three hours on this and I have no idea what to try next.

Catalogs are on the internal drive of my Macbook. Happens with my large master catalog as well as small single session catalogs with around 800 .CR3 files from the R5. Doesn't seem to matter which catalogs I'm switching to/from.

Just started seeing this as well on my M1 Max Macbook Pro running macOS 12.5 / LRC 11.5 I definitely shouldn't have to turn off GPU acceleration on this machine...

LRC 11.5 - M1 Max Macbook Pro - MacOS 12.5
When I try to use the "open recent" catalog menu option in LRC, it just closes lightroom and never reopens with the chosen catalog. I have to manually open LRC at which point it loads the catalog that I had chosen. It's supposed to automatically reopen, correct? That's what happened on the windows PC that I'm switching from.

I have this problem in the latest version of photoshop (I recently updated for the first time in a couple of years). Did you ever find a solution? It's very annoying, files keep getting saved in the wrong location and I don't realize it until after the fact and have to move them back to the correct folder.

I just updated to PS 2022 (I was still on 2019 previously). Now whenever I am using the brush tool, the circle showing the size of the brush will disappear sometimes when I initiate a brush stroke, and instead I see only a regular windows-style "arrow" cursor (not the crosshair - I am not pressing caps lock by mistake). This happens intermittently and seemingly randomly. It makes it difficult to work with layer masks, etc. since I cannot see the boundaries of where I am brushing. I'm on a Windows 10 PC. Anyone else have this issue? Any known fixes?

I'm having an extremely frustrating bug in LR Classic 10.4 where, if I have auto sync enabled, and I make a change to the current photo, it syncs ALL of the settings to the other selected photos. In other words, if I adjust the white balance, it not only syncs WB to the other photso but also crop, exposure, etc. It's basically making auto sync unusable. I closed and restarted LR but it's still happening.

I haven't updated yet but if it was fixed in version 10 I would have expected Rikk to just say so instead of linking to old comments. Hopefully I'm wrong!

So, the answer was "It will be fixed in our next release, which is coming soon"... until the next release came out, and now it's "It will be fixed at some point, we'll let you know." Got it.

Sorry, this is with the 24-70 f/2.8 S lens at 24mm, 2.8. I tested with my 50mm 1.8 S and had similar results, even on "high" settings in camera, the vignetting was only partially corrected in LR.

I have the new Nikon Z5. In LR Classic 9.4, NEF files basically replicate whatever vignetting corrections were set in the camera when the shot was taken. When the vignetting is turned off in camera, there's no way to apply any vignetting correction to the file, other than using the manual corrections tab in the Lens Corrections panel and the vignetting slider is grayed out. If the vignette control is turned on in the camera, the strength of the correction varies when lens corrections are turned on in LR. But even at the highest setting, the vignetting is not even close to being fully corrected. I've attached a photo that illustrates this. While the "camera settings" corrections can be turned off, there is no adobe profile for my Nikon Z lenses to replace them. So the only way to fully correct vignetting is by trying to do it manually, carefully balancing the "amount" and "midpoint" sliders. Very tedious and difficult to get perfect. Nikon's corrections are terrible, Adobe really needs to make their own profiles for the Z lenses and let us pick those instead.
