Depending on what you are looking for, there can be multiple solutions. If you want to move the crop rectangle and ensure it aligns with the edge, try placing a guide at the left edge, the crop rectangle should stick to it when moved freely. Another option mentioned is using selection. There is a setting in the options bar to define selection dimensions in advance before drawing or creating it. Later, use free transform selection to move it to the edge, using the guide as an anchor, or change the anchor to the left edge and then type 0 (zero) for the X position (screenshot below).

Do you have a perfect drawing in Illustrator but are getting dotted lines after exporting? Could you please take a screenshot of the export dialogue? Perhaps you could upload or send that AI file privately so someone can check it on their end.

Just tested, you are correct. Would you mind recording the set path or inserting the path step followed by the transform path step, with a modal for the transform path allowed to temporarily solve the problem? In the past, I recorded several commercial actions and never used the Crop tool; I always opted for Insert Path, followed by Transform Path if necessary.

Do you mean the Variables from the Image menu or a variable number of bricks? If you want a way to manually enter the number of bricks and hit the play button, then you need a script. It can be done using actions, but it's a tedious job, and you need to know how many in advance because there are a gazillion possible combinations. For each combination, one must record a separate action.

It's not possible to record an action to change the gradient type, at least that's what I believe. I'll wait for the scripters to see this thread, but I'm suspicious that it is possible using a script either.

If I understand your question correctly, the answer involves scripts, as actions have limitations. From what I gather, you want equal-sized borders based on a certain percentage of (here's the question: what? Width or height?) for any image dimension. It might be possible to achieve this using actions, but I'm not aware of that possibility. My recommendation is to wait for scripters to respond to this thread. @c.pfaffenbichler @Stephen Marsh @r-bin

As a user, I can confirm the above statement. In fact, I cannot imagine this amazing functionality working any other way. This morning, I successfully removed wrinkles from one part of a tracksuit photo using GenAi fill. It is fully aware of texture and color; otherwise, it wouldn't work.

Are the images you are placing of the same dimensions and resolution? If so, you can record an action for that purpose. Do you want linked Smart Objects or just layers in your document scaled to the document dimensions?

If you don't mind editable text, use Filter > Vanishing Point. Select the text, copy it, then define the perspective in the Vanishing Point filter and paste the copied content. Reposition the pasted content as necessary.

You cannot now use a filter on an empty layer because there are no pixels to modify. Adjustment layers do not contain any data or pixels, so you cannot apply a filter to them. If you want non-destructive sharpening, select all layers in the Layers panel and convert them to a Smart Object, or convert the Background layer to a Smart Object, then apply sharpening to the Smart Object.

My $0.02 on the brilliant explanation by @Conrad_C
If you have editable text and want to use a quick method like the Paint Bucket, you have two options shown in the GIF below:
Create a selection using transparency by Ctrl-clicking on the text layer, inverting it, and then using the Paint Bucket on a separate layer.
Convert the text layer to a Smart Object, which will keep the text editable, then create a layer below the Smart Object and use the Paint Bucket.

It appears you are correct based on my testing.
After recording an action, it functions correctly, but upon restarting Photoshop, it fails to do so. It only works when the current brush is selected or highlighted in the Brushes panel.

I suspect the issue lies in the workflow settings in ACR, as RAW files need to pass through Adobe Camera Raw before opening in Photoshop. Please check that the option Resize to Fit is not enabled in the Workflow settings.

When you upgrade, old shortcuts will point to software or version that is uninstalled; that's why they do not work. That's not an issue with Photoshop; that's how many software upgrades work.

My choice is Adobe Bridge because it provides everything I need: file info, search, preview, starring, labeling, a batch converter, and quick access to ACR, which I still prefer over Lightroom for smaller amounts of images.

Have you ever attempted to use the Export panel in Bridge? I'm uncertain about its limitations; in fact, I've never tried processing many files. If you have Bridge installed, I think it's worth giving it a shot.

My $0.02. When you draw with the Pen tool and select the Path option as previously explained, Photoshop will create a Work Path in the Paths panel. That's a temporary item that can be overwritten accidentally. To avoid loss, double-click on the name Work Path to rename it, or click on Create new path in the Paths panel before drawing.
