when you need to change the transform for any image on photoshop. convert the layer for smart objects. so when you resize to small size, you will preserve the quality somehow.

for text direction, this is right code, i have produced more than 200 fixed layout epub with arabic text (right to left RTL) For page order, no need for a css difintly, the user need to use ~ME version يدعم العربيه .. and user must choose right to left page direction.

1. You can check the display performance, From View> display performance> high quality display 2. what is the photo dimention? what is the actual PPI and Effective PPI?? check them from links info panel as the screennshot.

i just solved the issue for css, edited it and fixed the issue with RTL style to be readed well in an epub reader, last days, i had to fix the arabic text i fixed epub with OUTLINE the text. but now its DONE

i am workinng with fixed layout epub, not reflowable. CSS does not embed fonts. You can include @Font statements to direct the styles to use specific fonts, but font embedding is a part of the export (and, in the manual EPUB building methods, part of including the font files in a specific location within the EPUB package. ca you explain this more please?

update your indesig from cc app, to support arabic language (laguages that writtien from right to left like urdo, arabic and may more.. so in the paragraph pael you will find an option to make the right umber to be aligned from right to left. see attached paragraph panel.

there is no way, for TOC you have to identify the needed toc cotet as paragraph style, must have a text.. TOC cannot recognize a style from placed psd file.
