Currently, there is no option to edit images using text-to-vector in Illustrator. Since images are raster files, Illustrator can only edit vector formats. However, you can use images as a reference to create artwork with Text to Vector. More details are shared here.
But if you share a screenshot of what you're trying to achieve, as Monika mentioned, we can suggest a few other creative methods.

Sorry to hear about the slow performance. Does it freeze or slow down specifically when zooming and dragging the screen, as mentioned abive, or is it slow in general? Sorry to hear about your experience. We tried to replicate this behavior with the current release but couldn’t reproduce it. However, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been encountered before. I’ve occasionally experienced this issue on my machine, and it was often resolved by changing the mouse or updating the mouse driver. Sometimes, adjusting the mouse sensitivity settings can help, and in some cases, we’ve seen interference from third-party apps like Magnet, as Monika mentioned.
I’d recommend testing this behavior in safe mode, updating your mouse drivers, or trying a different mouse. Let us know if the issue persists!

Thanks for reaching out! As mentioned above, Pantone color libraries were removed from Adobe apps starting with software updates released in August, 2022. However, if you rely on Pantone libraries, you'll need a Pantone license via the Pantone Connect plugin, which is available on Adobe Exchange.

Ton is correct. This font is installed on your machine with the Illustrator application, and you can find it under Support Files > Required > Fonts in the Illustrator application folder. May I ask why you want to remove this font?
