That's not ideal. Thanks for testing. Are any third-party plug-ins installed? Can you test After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled? Let us know if that brings any change. Thanks for writing in, Lauren. Here's how I created it. 1. Created a solid and created a mask on it so that only the top and bottom of the solid layer are visible. 2. Apply the Turbulent Displace effect to roughen the edges. You can animate its Evolution to give it subtle movement. I applied an expression (time*80) to the Evolution to animate it throughout the timeline without any keyframes. 3. Apply Gaussian Blur to blur the edges and apply 4-Color Gradient to give colors to your liking. Let us know if it helps. I am sure that there are other methods to do it. Thanks, Nishu

Please test in a new project to see if it's the specific project. Also, where are your media files stored? Are they stored on a server or external drive? Try this: Split the pill/coffin layer (at the point where you want to break the connection) by pressing Ctrl/Command + Shift + D and then un-parent the layer that is on the right of the playhead. Thanks for sharing the file. I think the problem here is that you have multiple shapes in a single shape layer. Turning this layer into a 3D layer puts all the shapes on the same plane, which causes the glitching. You can fix this to some extent by lowering the layer opacity by 1%. However, to fix it completely, you need to separate each shape on its own layer and offset them by at least 1 pixel. Hope it helps. Let us know if there are any other questions. Thanks, Nishu
