If you want to open a Premiere Pro project in Audition to do a final mix, it is actually much easier than using OMF, or "Edit in Audition" workflow.
Simply open Audition, then execute "File>Open..." and point to the Premiere Pro .prproj file and then the "Open" button. Audition will then read the Premiere project, and present you with a dialog asking what sequences you want to open. All edits, audio effects, and audio keyframes will be then opened in Audition. Effectively, Audition can read Premiere project natively.
"Edit in Audition" workflow is just for legacy purposes at this point.

There is a known issue with 3rd party extension that causes the Touch mode to be activated sporadically.
Check to see if you have https://studioplugins.net/product/studioapp installed, and remove it if you do.
You can see another thread with similar issues here:

I just tried this with the latest beta, and I cannot reproduce it. So this isn't a generic problem for all users. If you could provide a project file, I can investigate further.

I just re-skimmed this after I was tagged earlier (sorry if this has already been covered, I could only go back over this thread superficially). It doesn’t appear to be a hardware issue but a file format issue. Can one of the people experiencing the issue here post an example file that I can generate a bug with? This will exponentially speed up the process of figuring out what is going on. A dropbox link, or something similar will help immensely.

Open Window>Audio Track Mixer..." and look for the Mix track, it will be the last on the right of all of the audio tracks. Below the dropdown that says "Read" there will be a button with what looks like two small speakers pointing away from each other. When you hover over it a tool tip labeled "Monitor All Channels" will appear.
Click on it to turn it on. Now play and see if all of the audio tracks are audible.
If this fixes your issue, then the sequence Mix track has been set to Multichannel, and this probably happened because one of the new Broadcast presets was chosen. If you do not have a use for Multichannel Mix track, I would recommend you do not use those presets and use the non-broadcast presets.

Two things:
Make sure the clips are not disabled. Right click on one of the problematic files and make sure there is a check next to “Enabled”.
Or, right click on the file, and select Remove Attributes, the place a check next to only the Audio Attributes, then press OK. This will remove any volume and pan info, resetting the source clip.
Please let us know if this helps or not.

Set your input to "No Input" and see if you can then set the sample rate to 44.1k or 48k. Are you using blue tooth headphones? if you are this is probably a byproduct of the headphones running in a very low sample rate for the microphone to work.

Nothing looks out of the ordinary in your screen shots for you audio configuration.
The font in this screen shots for Premiere seems, off. Like it is too big. Was that altered in the Console?
Also, as a dignostic step, does Premiere work properly if you use the built in audio output of the Mac?

I just tried this in 24.6.1 on a MacBook Pro with a stereo only output, also on MacOS 14. I used a MOV file with h264/AAC audio. I cannot reproduce this issue. What is different about your system that might cause this? I was using an external USB audio device. What are you using? What are the codecs in the file?

Hi,
I just tried this Premiere beta on a Mac M1 machine, and could not reproduce. So there is something more that is the trigger, but I’m not sure what that could be. Could you send me a copy of the project with an indicator of where the effect is in a sequence so I can investigate?
Or, post a video of the bug happening (with a clear shot of the entire UI of the application) so I can get some indicator of what is happening?

Auto-Match works by scanning the in point to out point of the clip’s audio, determining the LUFS level, then adjusting the clip to the a known level (-23 LUFS in this case for dialog). If you do this to multiple clips, they will all be “Matched” to roughly the same value (again, -23 LUFS).
All it does it adjust the overall clip gain, and does not do anything inter-clip adjustments at all. So, from what I can tell from your explanation, it is working correctly. What you seem to be describing is more of an audio compressor, which is designed to “compress” dynamic range of audio. The closest that Premiere has to an automatic compressor is also in the Essential Sound panel. With a clip tagged as Dialog, open the “Clarity” section, and turn on the “Dynamics” slider. Play the audio and move the slider to hear how it is affecting the output. This effect is an audio compressor, with some intelligence built in, and will achieve move closely what you were describing.

You might have the audio tracks routed in a way that is causing this, or the source file has been remapped. It is nearly impossible to know without seeing the Audio Track mixer, or inspecting the project. If you post them here we might be able to help.

This is still pretty scant information. I’ve tried the same steps and it is working for me in Premiere 24.6.1 on a Mac.
What version of Premiere and what operating system are you using?
What is the format of the clips?
What is the audio channelization of the clips?
In the past Attributes dialog, are all of the attributes checked on?
Have you tried copying via the right click copy command?
Have you inadvertently altered the keyboard shortcut for copying or pasting?
Does copy and pasting clips on the timeline still work, is it JUST the paste attributes command that isn’t working?
Have you tried a new sequence as a trouble shooting step?
This is why I generally ask for a video, since it can show the state of the system for things that seem obvious to you, but are not obvious to me.

I just tried this in 24.6.1 on a Mac, and I was able to copy volume level from one clip and paste it to another clip. So, at the most basic level this seems to be working.
Could you be a little more explicit about what the exact steps you are trying here? If possible, posting a screen recording of what you are doing is always the best way to ask for help as it eliminates most variables. Otherwise many of us that are trying to help will just be making guesses about the nature of the issue you are seeing.

"Ive tried everything mentioned in this thread"
Did you clear your Media Cache and let it rebuild? Is the drive with Media Cache have sufficient space? If there is not enough free space (if the drive gets full) it will affect playback.
According to those screen shots you posted, If I were you I would uncheck "Attempt to force hardware to document sample rate" and see if that helps.

From what I can understand is being asked here: The signal chain for the ECP is top down for audio. So the top effects outputs flows into the effect right below it, and so on. Putting Hard Limiter first will limit to the audio before that audio flows into the next effect, which isn't terribly functional. Put it at the bottom of the "chain" for the best limiting results. Google "audio signal chain" to learn how it works.
