Thank you for your feedback on media intelligence! We are actively working on expanding the search capabilities to make it even easier for your to limit the scope of files you want to include or exclude from your search results. Are there any other specific properties you would want us to make sure to include in future search options? Best regards,
Alexander

If it sometimes works it sounds like you are recording with a stero mic and the channels have a phase shift that causes the audio the cancel out when mixed down to mono. You can try to open your source clips and choose "retranscribe" from the "..." menu in the text panel and pick one of the channels instead of the default "mix"

Thank you for your feedback! The search works best the more details you use to describe a scene and generally has its lowest precision if using a single word for searching. E.g. instead of "interview" , a search for "person speaking into the camera" should return better results. We are aware that this is very different from what people are used to searching when e.g using regular search engines - but it also comes with a much stronger power of expression. Best regards, Alexander

Thank you for your feedback.
Currently you can only search clips in your currently open projects. What you can do is e.g. use AME to analyzer all your clips up front, and then add them to your projects, so you can start searching them immediately. Best regards, Alexander

It sounds more like you are using Opera to download Premiere Pro from adobe.com? Opera is a non supported browser since its privacy features also block correct OS version detection.

Hi ! Given that the use of any driver with your GPU causes a crash seems like an indication of a hardware problem of your GPU. It might make senes to swap this for a different model any try if this resolves the issue. (this would also explain the sudden nature of it failing - as it might have experienced physical damage to its GPU itself or its components on the board, eg through thermal damage.

Thank you for this report.
Can you try holding ctrl/shift when starting Premiere Pro and choose to delete the cache and disable all plugins? If this does not help you can also reach out to customer support for an agent to dial into your machine to find the root cause.
Best regards,
Alexander

We do not analyze the video frames at the full resolution, so compression shound not have a significant effect at the search result precision unless you could spot the difference in thumbnail view.

Thank you for your feedback.
The search information is stored per file and per project. At least in theory you dont need to reset these as they are dynamically updated. E.g. if you use a clip in a sequence it will automatically show up in the search results. If you want to clear the index you can e.g. delete the media side car file .prmi / .prin , to re-generate them. Best regards, Alexander

Uninstall Premiere Pro 2024 and 2025 using the Creative Cloud Desktop application. You do not need to also remove preferences when it asks.
Go to your Applications folder and check if there is any leftover folder called "Adobe Premiere Pro 2024" or "Adobe Premiere Pro 2025" and if there is, delete that folder
Re-install Premiere Pro
This should resolve any errors caused by left-over transcription downloads on your machine. You can also try to use the latst beta version which should now be more robust in handling this specific error case. Best regards, Alexander

Thank you again! This is super helpful for us to track down the root cause of this performance regression.
Do you see any items in the progress panel when you experience these slow downs? (top right header bar - the spinning progress icon). If so - what is the group name they are listed on? (e.g. Media Intelligence / Transcription ...) It looks like this may be a case of us overloading your system with too many tasks per core - as you have a high core count machine. Thank you for your feedback about the current performance of the feature.
Could you give us some details about the specs of your system (ram/cpu/gpu/os-version) and more details about the clips in your large project? (codec, run length, storage location) We really want to make sure this works without any performance impact on the editing workflows even in very large projects.

Thank you for your feedback - the current beta version only supports english search queries.
Could you give some details about the file format used for the files that did not show a thumbnail? do they show a thumbnail in the project panel? Search should show you the point in time inside the clip as a thumbnail. Best regards,
Alexander

Thank you for your feedback. This is used by the new Media Intelligence feature (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/media-intelligence-and-search-panel.html) for searching your project based on visual information. You can find the new search icon in the top right of the header bar. The index file stores all the processed information about the clips in your project so it is immediately available when you reopen it.

Hi ! If you get the error "Processor with Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2) support required" this means that your computer is too old to use a current version of Premiere Pro since it is lacking modern capabilities that are required for efficient video workflows. The other workaround is to either downgrade to the oldest version still listed in creative cloud - or unfortunately to buy a more recent system. Best regards, Alexander

Thank you for your feedback.
It sounds like you are seeing the "No dialogue found" error message in the text panel. This does not mean that no audio tracks were found to have an "audio tag" but that we detected the sequence to have an audio duration of zero. Can you check if you have any audio clips on on audio track 1? That should be sufficient - you could also try to enable automatic transcription to work around any issues in the auto detection - as this would only be relevant for static transcriptions - not for dynamic (text based editing) transcriptions.
Best regards,
Alexander

Thank you for your feedback.
It looks like your audio source is using stereo input - if that from a stereo micorophone? If so can you please check if the transcription itself is also not showing all words or just the captions? If the transcription is incomplete too - double click the stereo track - click "..." in the text panel overflow menu - choose retranscribe and select one of the two stereo channels. It might be that your stereo input has a phase shift, which causes the two channels to mix down to silence - which could result in the transcript not "hearing" any words.
Best regards,
Alexander

Hi ! thank you for your feedback. From your screenshots it looks like you are looking at the transcript in the source monitor (instead of the program monitor). In this way it only offers you to insert/overwrite the current clip selection into the timeline as only sequences can be edited. Best regards, Alexander

Hi ! You can double click the clip in the timeline in order to open it in the source monitor. You can than choose to retranscribe the source clip (via the "..." menu in the text panel) which also allows you to re-select the channel to use for the transcription. Best regards, Alexander

Hi! Thank you for your feedback. Can you verify in the text panel menu bar on the top right - click the "..." menu and check if "Enable auto-scrolling" is set. This should in theory enable the text panel to do what you are describing.

Hi ! The "plus" button will be disabled if there is not enough free space below the current playhead position to create a new caption segment. If you move the playhead or split an existing segment you should be able to create a new segment again.

Hi !
Thank you for your report!
If you are using a Mac - could you open the "Activity Monitor" - then select Premire Pro from the list and select "Sample Process" from the "..." button on the top middle.
Attaching this or DMing it to us would help us a lot in tracking down what is causing these slow downs on your system.

Hi ! Thank you for your feedback! The text panel has a lot of options hidden in the "..." menu in the top right. One of them is the auto-scroll option - which should take you directly to the point of time of a word if you click it (or you play back and the text will follow the timeline).
Please make sure you have updated to the latest beta if this option does not work for you.

Hi ! Thank you for your report. What are the specs of the machine used to transcribe? It looks like this might be below the recommendations for CPU/RAM ?
The expected runtime of a transcription should only be a fraction of the time of the audio - so e.g. in your case 5 minutes of audio should transcribe in about 1 minute or less.
Best regards, Alexander

Hi !
This does sound like a hardware issue most likely caused by overheating of either CPU / PSU - did you try monitoring your system temperature during high usage? It looks especially suspicious that this problem is getting worse over time (e.g. dust accumulating or something else is blocking the air flow in the system?) Best regards, Alexander
