I'm going to start a new thread for this because everything else regarding this is 10 years old. So with Acrobat Pro XI, there was an internal conversion engine that could be used so you could convert without AutoCAD. Does anyone know if DC has this capability and how to force the app to use this capability rather than have it use a background AutoCAD session? I've tried renaming the acad.exe file but that doesn't do it. Is there a plug-in or something? This used to be good with XI and it's weird that Adobe would make the newer software worse. I'm needing them to be searchable and the only way to do that is loading them directly into Pro. The print to distiller has the quality but not the searchability so it's not an option. Thanks for your help.

Do you know if there is a way to make Acrobat Pro DC do that same thing? I tried renaming the acad.exe and it throws an error. My pro XI is having issues in my organization now. Not sure if a MS Update wrecked it. But I'd like to get DC to do this conversation without using AutoCAD. It's much faster.
