Yea I have restarted my machine and that didnt work when I tried. As for the preferences, do you mean within illustrator? My CC app hasnt warned me of anything.

Everytime I try to open AI 2024 I get the screen below. I am also unable to click any buttons on the menu bar. I have a 2020 MAC, MAC OS 14.5. Please help me, I cannot get any work done.
