I vaguely remember we fixed a couple of things in that area. I was not able to reproduce with duplicated and renamed sequences so far. Can you try this in Beta?

Just tried it in Adobe Premiere Pro 25.1.0.73 and Adobe Media Encoder 25.1.0.65. Created a simple project. Added Bars & Tones. Exported via Export Panel. Name was preserved. Just to sort things out: Does the Export Panel show a different name than what AME shows in the queue?

You can batch convert DNGs with Photoshop or Lightroom very easily. Would that be a solution?

Anyways, here is the general rule of thumb, without knowing your content and presets: Low CBR (Constant Bit Rate) MP4 + low Audio bitrates + Metadata off + Content Signing off will get you there. Depending on the length and complexity of the content there may be quality degradations, though.

There should be a workaround: Select all, reset Status should do the trick and rebuild the connection to the new attached drive, if the source path is the same. Should work similar to duplicate. Even for duplicate you need to reset the status first.

There are technical limits for this. Video codecs do have minimum file sizes. What you can do is play around with frame size, bitrate, quality etc and have a look at the estimated file size at the bottom to see what is possible. Make sure to switch Metadata and Content Credentials off. I can tell you more exactly if you provide an After Effects sample project.

Sorry for the delay. I did extensive testing (266 VOBs transcoded to H.264 match source high bitrate) on my Surface Book 3 (Windows 11 24H2; Intel Core i7, 32GB) using Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) 25.2.0.120, Adobe Media Encoder 25.1.0.65, and Adobe Media Encoder 24.6.4.3 with CUDA enabled. All encodes were within a 5% range which means they are roughly comparable. So the question is: do you have any system additions such as anti-virus or networking that may slow down your computer?

I am afraid that is not possible with an AME Watch Folder. You may want to import the footage into Premiere Pro, do "Interprete Footage" there and send it to AME. What exactly do you mean with "automatically interpret footage"? Not sure if that could be fully automated.
