I can't believe this has been reported so long ago and the issue still persist with no update from Adobe. @ankursingh10 I have also shared files in PR for testing and nothing. All codecs updated and .MOV and other iPhone files don't build thumbs but in Windows Explorer, they work fine.

Haha, thanks but yes, I already tried that, several times, as I said in my my original post. I actually found that suggestion from another thread where you told another user to try it and it worked for them. It's clearly a bug because notifications seem to be inconsistent for others, including yourself. How do we escalate this so it can be fixed(once and for all)?

Hi, since the previous forums(Get Satisfaction) was made redundant, I've not been getting any email notifications from this "Adobe Support Community". I have them all switched on in account settings> notifications but nothing. I read on another thread that I can try to disable it, save it and reenable again(and save) and that would remedy the issue. I still am not getting notifications of any new posts to the Communities I'm signed up to? Any tricks to solve this?

I'm not sure as to why LrC is crashing for you. Does this happen often? Either way, whenever you get that pop-up, go to the folder where your catalog is located and delete the 'lrcat.lock' file that sometimes get left behind after a crash or unexpected termination of the the program. LrC will open fine after that.

I was going to suggest checking to see if 'Auto Sync' is switched on but that would mean that you've intentionally selected multiple images and subsequently switched on(maybe by accident) Auto Sync. What it seems like you're saying though, is that other photos are being selected without user input?

I think it is still possible to revert to the old interface but without the new features. Adobe has confirmed that there are no plans to bring back the old interface, sorry.

I am connected to the drive and I have the same problem. I've seen in other places that suggest right clicking on a vid thumbnail with the problem and selecting "Purge Cache for Selection" and this does not resolve it.
