Adding to Peru Bob's answer, Premiere Elements needs lots of disk space for temporary files. How much available disc space do you have?

There is a work around for changing project settings. Watch Steve Grisitti's tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eyx0tkzkuc

I'm concerned about "updating elements used in other projects". Premiere Elements has never been "backward compatible". As new features are added and old features deleted, the process of opening old projects has risks. The addition of the "-1" is part of protecting your original projects from corruption. It is adding the "-1" so that the original can be left intact.
Exporting is the same way. It adds the suffix to protect what you already have. In both cases, you can quickly edit the title to remove the "-1".
To be sure I was understanding your question, I created a small project in version 2023. It included a simple title and a cut clip. I opened that project in version 2025. The simple title disappeared from the project. The new title generation system is different!

Thanks! Do you think installing 6.14 will install a later version of ACR? Any idea which one (6.0 installed 9.0, but I'm aiming for 9.1.1..)
By @jamesl46055539
You should be fine. ACR is baked into the Lightroom versions. If you succeed at getting 6.14 to install, you will have the equivalent ACR. A RX100IV only requires LR 6.1.1 according to the Adobe chart.

This is the Premier Elements video editing forum. Instant Fix is part of Organizer. To my knowledge it does on work on video files, only photo files. Since I have not used Instant Fix, I looked for it and tried it on a JPEG. I don't see a way to do what you want.

My suggestion is to take advantage of the (free) Adobe DNG Converter program. It will quickly convert your Sony files to Adobe DNG files that can be used in Lightroom 6. All support for Lightroom 6.xx has been discontinued. Be careful if you find someone offering it to you.

I'm not sure what your method is for downloading YouTube videos is. It is slow, but I think you can screen record a YouTube video and the result will be a more standard H.264, 1080p MP4 file. As John says, there are sure to be copyright issues.

Your question is impossible without some sort of budget. And, there are lots of opinions!
My list of basic priorities is:
Intel i7 or i9 for the processor
32GB or more for RAM
GPU made by NVIDIA
1 TB or more, solid state drive (SSD)

Thanks for looking at this issue. Yes, if you don't have many clips to select, you could move your mouse around the clips, but what if I want to move ALL the clips forward from the cursor (and you have many, many clips to move)
By @wkhan69
It would be convenient if the tool you want was included. It is not, so it is necessary to use the more basic selection tools.
Using the "+", "-" and "\" keys allow displaying the project so that I can select what I want. Using Ctrl+A will select the entire time line. Shift with a mouse click can select and deselect clips.

A quick Google search shows that the Track Forward Select tool is a Premiere Pro feature. With luck, I can figure out what is does and see if I can get it to work in Premiere Elements.
Update: In Premiere Pro it is a quick way to select multiple clips. You can do similar in Premiere Elements by dragging your mouse around the multiple clips you want to select.

Can you try a "studio driver". And, if that doesn't work, can you try an older driver. Have you tried the method of reseting preferences by olding down the "Alt" key while starting LrC?

Hoping to add to Steve's comment..... If you are asking about data size, the more pixels the better. My personal choice is that the aspect ratio 'size' be the same for all images and TV's are 16:9. Most computers use the same aspect ratio so it would look good on both. Your RAWs won't work if you are on a current version. If your Premiere Elements is two or three years old and you computer hardware is strong, you can use RAWs directly in your project.

I'm not sure I understand but I think I see two questions. First, it might be that there is confusion about "importing". Resources are not inside a Premiere Elements project. Instead they are referenced by location. After you put a resourse file on your computer, it has to stay where you put it for the while you are working on the project. If it moves or the drive it is on is disconnected, it will cease to be available.
Can you provide a screen shot that would help understanding your "resources tab" question. Is it that a menu does not appear or is it that your media is not appearing?

Not sure what you meant by "subscriber" or which version you are on, but you can always buy the current version of Premiere Elements from the Adobe website. If you look there you may find an update promotion.

Oooh, I feel SO stupid! There is an inconspicuos little switch down below the desk that controls the volume of my computer and I guess I kicked it. The problem of 'no sound in my received video' has been miraculouusly cured.
By @Robert232130932pud
Thanks for saying it was solved. I tried a few things this morning and started writing a response, then gave up. I started building an argument for recording audio on a separate device (even a camera) and using the audio track as a media file.

Would you please go back to Steve's request for information about the footage from your camera.
My DJI Pocket 3 camera arrived with the default codec set to H.265. That can cause challenges depending on the combination of computer, graphics card and preferences. My choice was to change the camera's settings to H.264.
It will help to have the MediaInfo information.

Hoping to build on the suggestions from John and Steve, I did an AI search. All of the following might be relevant:
If Premiere Elements is freezing at 100%, it usually indicates a problem with the export process, often caused by a combination of factors like incompatible video formats, overloaded system resources, corrupted media cache files, or potentially problematic plugins ; to fix this, you can try:
Check your source video format:
Ensure your video files are compatible with Premiere Elements and consider transcoding them if necessary.
Clear media cache files:
Go to the Premiere Elements preferences and clear the media cache, which can sometimes contain corrupted data causing export issues.
Export in smaller chunks:
Try exporting smaller segments of your project instead of the entire video at once.
System resource check:
Make sure your computer has enough RAM and processing power to handle the export process smoothly.
Disable unnecessary plugins:
Deactivate any third-party plugins that might be interfering with the export.
Update Premiere Elements:
Check for any available updates to ensure you have the latest bug fixes
Check your hard drive space:
Ensure you have sufficient free space on the drive where you are exporting your video
Adjust export settings:
Lower the bitrate: Try reducing the bitrate in your export settings to decrease processing load
Change the export format: Experiment with different export formats like H.264 or ProRes to see if it improves performance

.......Would this be enough?
By @ghijohansson
Not for me.
You are asking a question that can't be clearly answered. Video editing is inherently slow with the computer working harder than most every other computer task. Your tolerance for video editing slowness will be different than mine.
The computer you are looking at may work for you in that it will get the job done. But, it would not work for me because I would not have the patience for its slowness. You may have to buy the computer from a company with a satisfaction guaranty and then test it with the free trial. If it is too slow, you can return it.
My personal minimum suggestion is a computer with 16GB of RAM (32 is better!), a 1TB solid state drive (SSD), an Nvidia graphics card and fast CPU. Look up the CPU on PassMark. It should be 10,000 or better for video editing. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
