Ask Adobe Support to let you pay annually (one payment /year) (BEFORE 9th April 2025!). Your 20GB Plan price will stay the same with no increase.
Pay Annually- no increase.
Pay Monthly- price does increase.
Be sure Adobe understands you are only changing payment method and NOT changing Plans.

@dj_paige FYI an upgrade to LrC v14 does not change the catalog filename as happened in the past. Changing a catalog name is now a Menu item: File > Rename Catalog... Many users with v14 now have catalogs named -v13-3 or similar.
See an explanation in this Lightroom Queen link "Catalog Upgrade (Classic)" (about halfway on the page)
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/whats-new-in-lightroom-2024-10/
@roelv55517707 "I have never really used the catalogues." You must use at least one catalog. Lr-Classic does not work without a catalog.
And good advice from @GoldingD - Get your catalog out of one-drive!
And I agree with the 'deletion' suggestions by @AxelMatt

"I had to type in my serial number, which I did -" Lightroom-Classic v14.2 does not use or need a Serial Number. Serial numbers ended with version 6.14 several years ago.

There is now a "Lightroom Plan" and a "Photography Plan". Both plans include by default Lightroom-Classic and Lightroom (Cloud version). The "Photography Plan" is different in that it also includes Photoshop.
If you have TWO separate Plans then you should contact Adobe Support to clarify the situation for you.
Although both plans include the Lightroom 'Cloud' version you do not have to install it, or use it.

The "latest" app that has a Print module is called "Lightroom-Classic" (currently v14.2)
If you installed the Cloud based app that is simply called "Lightroom" v8.2 - then you do not have a Print module. With the 'Cloud' Lightroom you need to Export an image to a local drive and print with another app, or, If you have Photoshop, there is a menu link to [Edit in Photoshop] from which you can print.

Anything and everything that has "-v13-3" in a file name IS your current catalog and ancilliary files. Do NOT delete any of the files that are "-v13-3". (The rest you can archive until you know your catalog is working correctly with all your imported images. I note different sizes for the .LRCAT files!)
The Preview cache can get very large with many photos in your catalog:
There is now a facility in LrC 'Catalog Settings' to control (Limit) the space that Previews occupy. (Some find it is not an immediate result.)
The old method was to delete or 'refresh' the {Lightroom Catalog Previews.LRDATA } and then slowly allow the catalog to re-build its previews.
And a Hint- Rename your catalog to make sense to you. [Menu > File > Rename Catalog...]

Possibly in October 2024 the ability to sync keywords (with Import to Lr) was deprecated entirely.
".....synced the very first time. That is also no longer possible. ".
Keyword sync was not associated with a Lightroom version, so installing a previous version will not be of help.

What Plan do you pay for that gives you 100GB?-
And what Version Number of 'Lightroom' are you using?
Lightroom-Desktop (the Cloud version ) does store catalog and photos in the Cloud, but we need to know which app and version you are using.
Using Lightroom-Classic: Without backups of your Catalog AND Photo files, I am sorry to say you are "screwed".
Lr-Classic can backup the Catalog when you exit the app- depending what you have set the options for in Catalog preferences. (Every time, Once daily, Once weekly, etc), however it must by on a separate hard-drive that has not been lost with the computer crash. If you don't have catalog backups in zip file then all your editing and work is lost.
Backing up the Photo files is your responsibility- Lr-Classic does not back them up in any way. Again, they must be available on a separate hard-drive. If your photos were only stored on a drive that crashed then all your photos are gone.
To be curt- Lesson learned.

Yes, there are still many video tutorials online that are prehistoric, and many for Lightroom-Classic (Previously known simply as "Lightroom" ) that use the 'old' logo [Lr].
And perhaps more annoyingly (to me), many people now still take the easy way and say "Lightroom" when they mean "Lightroom-CLassic".
And also the use of "CC" in any Adobe app name was removed several years ago.
Here is the site I like to suggest for Lr-Classic tutorials-
https://jkost.com/blog/lightroom-training-videos
(Always good to state App name and Version Number when posting in the forum- it gives others a head-start when suggesting an answer.)

If you want the image files to STAY on the G:Drive- then you DO use the [ADD] option in the Import dialog.
The [ADD] option in Import leaves your images where they reside and simply adds a reference (preview) in the Library.
(Your image files are NEVER 'IN' Lightroom-Classic. They are where you place them.)
Understandable that the [Import] button does not light up if you are trying to [Copy] the image files into the same folder where they already exist. The 'Destination'panel will only show in the Import dialog if you are Copying [Copy] or Moving [Move] the files to another Drive or fdolder.

IIRC- Lr5 stored Develop presets in a default folder-
Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Lightroom /
When you run Lightroom-Classic (on the same system) it should automatically recognize the presets in this folder.
If you are installing to a new Mac system you would need to copy the files to the same folder on the new system.
If you stored presets 'with the catalog' then you would search for your catalog .LRCAT file and find presets next to the catalog.
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/lightroom-classic-file-locations/
Classic does have the "same adjustments"- However: the names on some of the develop sliders might have changed, but nothing major.
There was a change from .LRTEMPLATE develop presets to .XMP presets, but Lr-Classic should also identify the old presets and create the new .XMP filetype.
The Process engine in LrC has improved over time and upgrades, so many of your old presets may not produce results exactly the same as before. Creating new 'User' presets might be beneficial.

Lightroom (Legacy v6.14) does not work if you have the Creative Cloud Desktop App installed. The desktop App converts Lr6 to Lr CC1025 which requires a paid subscription.
I can only suggest the following- (Modified from the post by @AxelMatt earlier in this forum thread)
Backup all personal data, like templates, presets, catalog(s) etc.
Uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
Then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
Clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
Restart your computer (don't skip this)
**DO NOT Reinstall the cc desktop app,
Install Lr v 6.14 using the 'Offline' method suggested by @kglad @ LIGHTROOM 6 -OFFLINE ACTIVATION
This is now the only way known to install, activate and use Lr6.14
On a new computer system, ideally a subscription to the latest version (14.2) is the best option with Lightroom-Classic (as it is now called) available in a Lightroom Plan.

"If I cancel on March 15th, can I get a refund?"- I do not believe you can!
When a plan reaches its end date (3rd March) it either stops completely, or it renews for another annual contract.
There is no 14 days 'cooling off' period for a renewal. (Note in the link given by Ged, it says "after your initial purchase".)
By cancelling on the 15th (after the 3rd) you have entered a new annual contract and are liable for cancellation fees (50% of remaining contract)
So IMO- No refund! only a charge.
https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html#cancel
Hurry if you want to cancel entirely before 3rd March!

@Ehrbar34637213gvx5 I find it possible to open images as layers in Photoshop.
The menu item: [File > Edit in Photoshop > Edit in Layers in Photoshop] should allow this.
What Version Number of Lightroom are you using? (I don't know that 'as layers' was available in early releases of Lr.)
Can you check more 'info' about the images you are trying to open in Ps?
Otherwise I cannot suggest why the menu item is not selectable.

A couple of screen-clips may assist with some clues to your problem-
1. Show the full path of the .lrtemplate files in the Windows folder where you placed them. A screen-clip in File Explorer.
2. A full-screen view of the drop-down list of brush presets that are visible in the LrC develop module- Masking.
"downloaded from my account"- How do you download? I assume you install by clicking the (Install) button in the CC Desktop App. , correct? And it might be worth trying a clean install of Lr-Classic after running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Link- CLEANER TOOL Be sure you have backups of your catalog file.
It has been known that some of the panels in the LrC UI have a limit to the number of items that can be shown in a panel. (eg. Keywords might only show (alphabetic) A>M and all N>Z are not visible. But maybe not your problem.

The Lightroom-Classic Print module can 'Print To:' an attached printer, or a JPG file.
The Print module will allow text on the border below an image (not ON the image). By default it is centered. Font size is adjustable.
The text can be drawn from metadata from a Preset in [Photo Info...]
You can edit and create a preset with your combination of metadata.
For Example- This image has a [Photo Info...] preset that prints- Title - Caption - Keywords

@mattias_2316 "I have the monthly photography license." And, do you PAY the monthly subscription price?
Your system version of Windows-8.1 should support Lr CC2015.
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/system-requirements/earlier-versions.html
The error messages would suggest that your subscription has ended or been cancelled, or you are Signed out. Do you have the CC Desktop App up to date? And have you again tried to log out/log in with the CC Desktop App.
Your system and Lightroom version are ~7 years old, so you are pushing the limits to get it working, and I doubt you will get a satisfactory answer from the forum.

"...for why I can't create a local album."
In Local Mode you are seeing your FOLDERS on a local drive. You have the capability to create any folder you want- in a File Browser! Call it a "Local Album" if you want, but it is still a Folder on a local drive.
'Albums' only exist (and can be created) in the Cloud Library.
"I expected what I had in older Lr versions to be there,"
Well everything, and MORE, is included in the current version that you "haven't used.... for many years." But it is now called LIGHTROOM-CLASSIC and is at Version 14.2. And it HAS gained many new features.

Thinkin about the reply from @GoldingD -
I have found a difference with 'converting' using Develop Presets-
I have "Style: B&W" presets that DO preserve masking edits to sky exposure.
And I have "Lightroom B&W Presets" (That I think might be old legacy presets!) that do NOT preserve the masking edits.
Anyhow I have no problems with keyboard [V] which is what I frequently use, and I cannot find a Profile that ignores the masking adjustments.
