A major dilemma has emerged! 😱 I downgraded to version 11.4.1 to be able to continue using Mogrify 2. But now LR won't sync to iCloud anymore until I upgrade to version 11.5. I got to thinking about all the collections I've made, both manual and smart albums, and I was afraid I'd destroy a lot of them if I deleted photos and re-imported. Maybe the smart albums would "survive" but not the manual ones. So I took no chances and set about doing the whole job manually, as I was first advised. Thanks to LR's incredibly good sorting options in the library module, the job goes very quickly once you have found the right way to do it. Yes, I have downloaded and purchased a lot of presets and profiles. The problem is that they always want to change the colors too, in all sorts of ways. I just want the clean and pure matte effect, without any color tweaks. Then I can possibly make my own changes afterwards. Even though I've spent hundreds of dollars on such profiles, I often prefer one I've made myself, based on the Adobe Color profile. ... View more

The matte look is very popular on e.g. social media and on advertising images. The tonal range is shrinked to simulate the look of film. It can be done in LR with the curves tool. You will also need to adjust the colors and contrast to achive a natural look. There are lots of presets that can do this with varying luck, but to do it yourself needs practice and knowledge to get it right. A dedicated tool that can create this effect with a slider would be very helpful and save a lot of time for those who want this look in their pictures.   ... View more

The solution is to open the Creative Cloud desktop app and go to Applications > All Applications. From the Installed list, find Lightroom Classic and click on the three dots at the far right of that row. Select Other Versions, and choose to install Lightroom Classic (11.1).    Then refrain from further updates until version 11.3 is available. ... View more

Sorry, but I reckon you understand that English is not my native language. I have run diagnostics on my disk. It revealed no faults.   But the last times I have exported now, everything went as normal. I haven't done anything special that I know of. I hope it will continue to do so. I have tried to export to a different disc, but it was just as slow. The strange thing is that the export isn't always that slow. I exported 100 original DNG files in just a few seconds, but 30 JPG files took one hour. I assume converting files to another format is a harder job than just copying them.   I have also tried to reset preferences one more time, but it didn't make any difference.    When the export goes slow, the only thing that helps, is to select another publish service, and then go back to the first. Then the export goes faster for a few seconds, before it slows down again. Another weird thing, is that the number of remaining images to export doesn't match the number of previews I see publish service export window. But if I move the mouse over the previews, they update to the correct number.  ... View more
