Hi, this is awesome! I have a few recommandations for a better usage. What is the best way to provide feedback between an all-in-one post VS multiples separated posts?

Hi Adobe Team, For instances where the Program and Source windows are grouped in the same panel, can you please make the Source Window active automatically, the same way it does for the regular timeline and Program window? Please see the attached video. Pr Pro version : 25.2.0 BETA (Build 21) I find the actual behavior a distraction and time-consuming one. It's an additional click or shortcut command to activate the source window, and when assembling stuff, I switch between the source timeline and the edit timeline A LOT. Definitely, this would be a time-saving behavior! Thank you! Lately I really appreciate the fact that the markers from the Source Timeline are now showing in the Markers window - which it was not before. Please keep making editing smoother. Laurent

Can you please add a reset button for every properties? Could be right beside the keyframe button. Often times, I will have to reset a single properties and resetting all is undoing all of the reframing etc. Here's what it's like in the Effects Controsl panel.

Overall, the UI design finally looks consistent. I like the new color scheme and appreciate the option to customize UI and label colors even more. However, I believe there's room for improvement in the Timeline, which is where I spend most of my time. Please note that I'm not a designer at all, so I'll try my best to explain myself. The removal of the colored FX badges results in a lack of information at a glance. There's another well-supported discussion here that elaborates on this issue. The way waveforms are highlighted seems inconsistent and creates an unpleasant contrast. Looking at the audio tracks, it appears the new design prioritizes labeling the rectangle itself over the waveform, creating a need to choose between highlighting or shadowing the waveforms, and all of that happens on clips sometimes side by side. New design: To me - and I think for most of us - the waveforms are an important visual representation when editing, and for that reason, I like them to be prominent. In the old design (when waveforms are visible), I prefer how it mutes the background color to make the waveform color the same as the labels. Old design: Applying the previous design principle to the new "Vibrant" color scheme for instance could look like this: Or highlighted if it has to be (not my favorite) : Plus, I think the brightness tolerance for white text to switch to black could be higher. The Production Panel looks different from the others. It feels like we were in a transition between old and new UI with the introduction of the Text panel. Now that everything looks consistent, I just noticed the Production Panel has a darker area, which seems unnecessary since the Project panel and all the others don't have it. Hope it helps and users can relate! Cheers!

Hi Adobe team, Can you tell why we can't have the content of the new "Audio Clip Header" on the smallest track height? It feels like a limitation to me, because sometimes it can be useful to have all that information at the smallest track height. If users feels like there's too much, they can enable or disable Waveforms, Names and/or FX bagdes.

@Kevin-Monahan as of Pr 24.2.1, Reverse Match Frame across projects is not working, as stated by th_m, the only way to Reverse Match Frame to an active sequence is to load the clip from it sourced project. Can this bug be re-opened? Also, I could screen record the bug, if you tell me it's worthwhile.

The color code is a huge part of my workflow too. Please bring it back and please allow for both the waveform and FX badges at smallest track size.

The lack of color coding on the FX badge is a big miss to me. It is a huge time saver to clearly know what type of effects might be on a clip. Plus, with the track height at it's smallest, you can't have both fx badge and waveform.

Editing on a M1 Pro Macbook Pro, Ventura 13.6.3, Pr 24.2.1 (build 2) and I experienced the same, sometimes only the left side and other times, ALL of the clips in the timeline gets unlinked from their audio. It just happen right now and I just saw the "off-sync" indicator (red text in a white box) disappearing all of a sudden. The History panel was opened to monitor the behavior and no "unlink" entry. I really have no idea what is causing this bug and it is very time consuming to fix.

I came back to this thread for updates on that idea and by the same time, added another idea to the selects / stringout workflow that might interest fellow editors on this thread. See the idea here : Enable Multi-Camera view for sequences opened as Source Sequence

When editing via a sequence opened in the Source Monitor and/or as a Source Sequence, it would be a great addition to have the option to enable the Multi-Camera view. Right now, it is greyed out (see picture below) and the only way to view more than one angle from my derushed sequence is to open the sequence in the program monitor or match framing to the original multicam clip. My workarounds a this moment : Editing with the copy/paste function from a derushed sequence opened in the program monitor, but this way, you can't have both the source and program monitor opened AND edit with the insert and overwrite function, the later being my preferred way to edit for track patching reasons. Setting a picture-in-picture effect to view multiple angles when which is not great for clarity of image and it gets time consuming on the long run to removed the effect - if edited. Editing from a source sequence is a huge time saver when assembling and/or revisiting a curated selection but right now, there are limitations to this great workflow. PS : if it gets requested, it will be my pleasure to video capture the workflow.

Det, I hope the workflow suggested by Ben made the job for you cause from what I understand, it should work as you intended and for me, it has been working great for years, tunrovers to ProTools included. For more detail Jarle Leirpool did a great job of documenting this workflow overhere on his blog : https://premierepro.net/multicam/ Regarding the Always Nest Multicam Clips feature, on my end, I'm desparate to have it in the official release. Too many times a day I have to check/uncheck the "insert and overwrite sequences as nests or individual clips" button and even worse, there's no option to create a shorcut key to this button unlike his neighbours Snap, Linked Selection, and Marker. Eg : I'm cutting from a select reel loaded in the source monitor (and open in timeline as a source sequence), making many edits and a few moments later, while refining my edit, I will match frame my multicam clip, look around for a better bit, then insert it to realize I've inserted the content of my multicam instead of the multicam itslelf. Only because in order to insert the content of my select reel, the "insert and overwrite" button had to be unchecked. So I always have to think "am I cutting from the multicam or the select reel and is my "insert and overwrite" checked or unchecked. So please Adobe make this feature official as soons as possible, with a preferences settings if necessary.

Just tried Premiere Pro 23.3 and it's still not fixed. This is so critical, it's the at the core of editing. I'm very dissapointed of getting multiples updates without fixing this bug. There's multiple reports on that exact same bug on this Support Community and it's still not a known issue : https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/premiere-2023-1-0-unexpectedly-exits-out-of-trim-tools/idi-p/13574283 https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/critical-trim-bug-in-premiere-pro-23-2-0-build-69/idi-p/13618929 https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/trim-selection-disappears-in-v23/idi-p/13539556 And here are video examples from other threads : https://vimeo.com/808403032/cd9eabafbb https://www.loom.com/share/103a9d37e9da46b4a961b9ccd4a23d15 Reseting preferences, emptying disk cahce and copying media to a new project does not fix the bug. Currently using a Mid-2020 8-Core Intel iMac and a M1Pro MacBook Pro, both on macOS Monterey 12.6.5. The bug is experienced with clips, multicam clip and other non-clip-based item such as titles and adjustment layer. The expected behavior can be experienced on Premiere Pro 23.0.0.

Hi Neil, thanks for your reply. To answer your question, I'm using the ICC profile shipped with the display. But I don't think that's the issue. I can tell, confidently, that the default ICC profile is pretty close to being calibrated. Not perfect at all, but pretty close. Just to make it clear, I'm not looking for color accuracy here, I mainly work on commercial for the web and I'm at ease to judge color in comparaison to what I can see on the web. Actually I never grade commercials by myself, but i get to work with the grade - so I'm mostly looking for decent colors and close to reality black and white points. That being said, After Effects seams to work the way you say it should - looking at ICC profile for any attached monitor but premiere, on my end, seams to only take account of the main monitor ICC profile. This case being the P3 display. So the conversion it does from P3 to Rec709 is somewhat heavy and it's really obvious when it translate to the external sRGB monitor. Might need to fill a bug report here, what do you think?

Anyone with an iMac and a second monitor? I have a 2020 iMac (P3 display) and a 1080p 24" Dell ultrasharp (sRGB) as second monitor that I use for Mercury Transmit in Premiere and After Effects.
It looks like the color management feature in Premiere Pro only look at the main display color space - the display with the menu bar. This results in having OK colors in the program monitor on the iMac screen but it darkens the picture on the Dell monitor. Meanwhile, this doesn't happen in After Effects at all, using Display Color Managment is After Effects respects each monitor color space. Meaning I can have OK color on both the iMac screen and Dell monitor. Is it the same on your end? Wonder if it's a bug.
If necessary, I have screenshots to show the situation.

What are your settings on the Levels effect? I know broadcast colors are around 16 to 235 on a 8bit color depth, so I set my RGB output to match these values but it look desaturated and way less contrasty. So do you also change your input values?

Did you guys found a workaround? I used to apply the broadcast safe filters in FCP7 set on Extremly Conservative (100) and passed the QC every time to. When you say "Can I get away with 120 on the luma and sat?" Did you try it? Did you passed the QC since then? When I look at your montage, I find the 120 settings still brighter, especially on the yellow, over the Extremly Conservative from FCP7. I think the 115 is closer to what FCP7 filter looks like. Anyway it's still above 100 IRE... I just started working on a new TV Show and feel I can't trust the broadcast colors from Premiere. Our workaround is actually to export a HQ file whitout any filter from Premiere, then import the file in FCP7, apply the Broadcast safe filter then re-export with the broadcasters specs... I hate to actually depends on FCP7 to feel safe about having broadcast safe colors without compromising that much the picture quality...
