Did you save the file in a special way? Saving the PDF as an Optimzed PDF can flatten form fields but you would have to check for the options. Especially in the “Discard Objects” section. Go here and check for further detail: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/optimizing-pdfs-acrobat-pro.html

Acrobat XI is no longer supported by Adobe. this is also stated on the Acrobat Uservoice website: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac
Are you able to try a newer version on your system. This might give you much faster results.

You probably went for the Annual Subscription paid monthly, which is for a month the cheapest option. But it clearly states that if cancelled early that there applies a fee.
Also there is a help article clearly outlining how the Creative Cloud subscription terms and refund policies work: https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html The regular free test period for Adobe apps is 7 days and if you only want to pay for 1 month and then cancel without any fees being applied you have to choose the monthly payment. with this option you can cancel at any time – no fees applied. But of course it means you pay a higher monthly price.

What kind of subscription are you referring to. Is it a single app or the Creative Cloud subscription. Have you made sure you are logged in as well? Can you show a screenshot of when you are asked to subscribe. If you post a screenshot make shure to blur or blacken any private data.

You can check on the Acrobat Uservoice if such a request already exists and if not you can submit one. If you gather enough votes this is the best way that the Acrobat team is being made aware of your wish. https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac

Have you tried downgrading the version? I think Acrobat does not offer the “other Version” option in the Creative Cloud Desktop app as other apps do but at least you can uninstall it there. Then contact Customer support with your problem. They will provide you with an installer for a lower version. Try on the Contact page first: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen I will let the Acrobat team know about yopur problem.

In my attempts with a rather simple prompt the current limitations of this technology become obvious (perspective, keeping the model intact, overall integration with the generated image with a 3D model). I’m aware that this is a very hard thing to pull off – but it will take for sure a little more time to get fully satifying results. (prompt:
two bunnies in front of the camera in a forest)

@leo_5106 I might have an idea for you. First try to create your animations just with one shape layer and a repeater. This way you could swap out the circle for other shapes. To swap out the shapes create an empty shape layer and add a path in AE. Then create your shapes inside Illustrator at roughly the same size and copy the illustrator path onto the After Effects Path.
Then copy the next Illustrator Path and paste it into the AE path …
As Lottie will not support the repeater you have to “convert” the repeater into separate shape layers before exporting. There is a script on aeScripts that can do that: https://aescripts.com/shape-repeater-baker/ I attach your AE file with a second comp and the AI file for you to experiment with the path replacement before you consider this option to work for you.

@AlanGilbertson You’re right Alan. I also used AE once in a print project to get the green cast of a cow standing on a grazing round that I had to separate from a background with “Advanced Spill Suppressor”. That was quite satisfying:-)

Hi Alan! This is a great idea for a challenge. I started with Firefly for the overall scene and background and went into After Effects to create this ray bursting with energy. The bursts of lightning are added with the very same effect going by the name “Advanced Lightning”; the fiery ring below the ray is made with the “Saber” plugin from Video Copilot. Added some Gaussian Blur to integrate everything a little better and used some masks to get the ray on top of the glowing ring.

The ultimate test would be to have your document read by a screen reader. There is a free screen reader called NVDA. It only runs on Windows but you could run it on a Mac with a virtual machine.

To further illustrate this look at my screenshot. I have three separate text frames randomly placed on the page. In the Article Panel I define the tag reading order for the screen reader which you can check in the exported PDF with PDFgoHTML (on the left).
The reading order in the PDF is completely different and depends on the layer order of the objects in InDesign – from the bottom up – I know this sounds weird. As you can also see in the Reading Order in Acrobat. That the reading order in Acrobat has influence on real screen readers is not correct. The tag reading order is the important thing and that is defined in the Articles Panel – as long as you have the option “Use for tagging order in tagged PDF” turned ON.

As far as I know the first Vertex Point does not adhere to the Trim Paths behavior. You can leave your “effects stack order” in tact and use the “Offset” parameter of the trim paths to dial in where the Trim Path should start/stop.

Can you please show a screenshot of your layer panel and the Effects Control Panel (with the “Customize Core” settings twirled open)? Check if you scaled your layer down but then scaled the Mask back up. This way “Saber” would only give results on your resulting layer size.

@Jake31240521nz7q The articles panel is a good start. Remember that only what is in the article panel makes it to the tagged PDF. Do not rely on the Reading order that you can check in Acrobat because that is not the reading order that the screen reader will adhere to. Use a tool like PDFgoHTML to check your exported PDF in Acrobat. So the most important steps in order:
Open the articles Panel
In the Panel Flyout menu check “Use for tagging order in tagged PDF”
Add your objects in the order you want them to be read to the articles panel.
Maybe start with a small selection and check in Acrobat with PDFgoHTML (a free Plugin for Acrobat from Callas). It will look something like this (depending of course which elements and tags you used) …
There is a lot more to this process than I can describe here. But that should give you a good start for the correct reading order.

There was a similar question in a different thread but specific to Apple computers. Illustrator specialist @Monika Gause reccommends 32 GB of RAM if you want to future proof you machine. 1TB SSD is a good idea. Other than that I fear it is personal preference and how much you are willing to spend. I think any current laptop featuring these specs will be sufficient.

First check which folder you specified in the Preferences > File Handling & Clipboard section for Recovery Data.
Secondly you could check these locations as outlined on the Illustrator help pages:
WINDOWS
Type %AppData% in Windows Search.
Navigate to Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version] Settings\en_US\x64\DataRecovery
Open the file with the .aid extension in Illustrator to recover the content.
MACOS
Select Go in the menu bar and then select Go to Folder.
Type ~ /Library/ and press Return.
Navigate to Preferences/Adobe Illustrator [version] Settings/en_US/DataRecovery
Open the file with the .aid extension in Illustrator to recover the content.

This is a difficult question to answer but I give it a try. I totally depends on what you want. I’m working on Apple Silicon as well and in my opinion if you want to keep your budget in check you could even wait for the new 15 inch MacBook Air M4 (as you will use an external monitor as well) which should be released shortly. The Illustrator help pages recommend 16 GB of RAM which is exceeded by current MacBook Air with 24 GB of RAM. 1TB of hard drive space is always a good thing to have. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements.html#ai-on-the-desktop
The advantage of the MacBook Air is that it doesn’t have any fans and it runs great with Photoshop and Illustrator alike. If you don’t need heavy lifting for Animation or 3D work you might be ok not going for a MacBook Pro. I hope that helps.
